From what I remember, Muadh was asked not record as he should take notes or rely on his memory.
The interview was then later noted down for our benefit.
And after double checking:
Mufti Saheb (HA) permitted me to ask questions so I fired up my laptop. I had considered the set of questions for days and written them out.
Mufti Saheb (HA) straightaway said no Technology you can use a paper (if you wish). I hadn’t brought any papers with me at all!
Mufti Saheb (HA) said can you recall from memory? I said Yes I wrote this so he said then recall and ask.
I tried to record the Interview and Mufti Saheb (HA) admonished me again and said. It’s your questions ask me again and again, understand my responses and convey in your words (you have my permission) but you need to understand what I am saying. How will you do this with your computer and your recording?
Ask me again and again but understand me and my responses and then convey. He said you have my permission to convey your understand
We presented our concern that
1. brothers who can't read urdu or have distanced from our ulema were taking knowledge from english media. Baatil firqa was using this opportunity. Their slogan was "we present with authentic sources only".
2. We have good amount of urdu literature to counter this. English literature was zero. A few attempts to translate were no match to literature offered by baatil.
3. To counter baatil, everyone was fighting his own war from his place. We were disintegrated. There was no universal coordination.
4. We requested to integrate haq, ahle deoband. Since had good with England and other western countries, we requested to request masters in english language to translate our urdu books. As a first step we requested to allow reprinting of "Salah of a believer" by maulana Riyadul Haq in India (since it was copyright).
our faryaad very seriously and told his ulema to note it and remind when he visits foreign countries.
But there was no further progress.
I request to look into this. We need to reprint in India some of the English books by Deobnadi scholars.
This was 18 March 2020, when #ShaykhSaeedPalanpuri RA delivered the final Hadith of #SahihBukhari. After a lesson lasting almost 2 hours, at the end he was unable to continue and started crying profusely, resulting in students becoming affected. This was to be his last lesson.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
