Alhamdulillah! This year just before Ramadhan, I was blessed to be given the opportunity of performing umrah. It was my first time. A great honour and magnificent experience. Although, with children it was difficult but still a pleasant experience.
One thing perplexed me though. In Masjid e Nabvi, when I was waiting in line to send salutations to the Prophet Muhammad
, near his grave. I waited for almost two hours. We were moving inch by inch. However, a time came when people started running to go to that place (where we offer nawafil). As they say "do what the romans do", I also started to run with other people there. Later on I realized that is this appropriate to run in a masjid? Is this not against adab? How would the Prophet
feel when he would know that what is happening in his masjid? And also the womenfolk were shouting loudly while running. I was really confused.
Does anyone know here that what do ulema say about this strange thing?
