I am looking for some clarity? Was Islam intended to be the first religion? IF Allah Swt is all knowing, why did Christianity and Judaism come before Islam? or should I believe Islam was first, but people altered it and did not accept it until Mohammed swt was spoken to on the mountain and finally spread the word.

I get asked this question a lot, if Allah swt is perfect, why did other religions come about first

Welcome to the forum and feel free to ask whatever you wish.

There is ONE God. Submission to ONE God is called “Islam” and the one who submits to the will of ONE God is called a “Muslim”.

When we start with the premise of ONE God then logic dictates that God will remain consistent with his messaging. The world is sick of Donald Trump tweeting and want the entire White House to remain “consistent”, the need for God to be consistent is ever greater.

The message of God has always been from day one:

  1. I am ONE God
  2. Worship ME

Now comes the practical question of HOW to worship God and that was shown by certain “humans” which were elevated in rank and made Prophets.

In the time of Prophet Adam (peace be upon Him), the message from God thus became:

  1. There is ONE God, worship Him
  2. I (Adam) am the Prophet and I will show you how

In the time of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon Him), the message from God thus became:

  1. There is ONE God, worship Him
  2. I (Abraham) am the Prophet and I will show you how to worship.

Prophet Abraham (peace be upon Him) called himself a Muslim:

In the time of Prophet Joseph (peace be upon Him), the message from God thus became:

  1. There is ONE God, worship Him
  2. I (Joseph) am the Prophet and I will show you how to worship.

Prophet Jesus (peace be upon Him) called themselves Muslim:

And so on and so forth…

Nothing fundamentally changed until Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him) and his message said:

  1. There is ONE God, worship Him
  2. I (Muhammad) am the LAST Prophet and I will show you how to worship.

To believe otherwise would be inconsistent and lead to confusion i.e. God asks someone to become Christian (one day), Jewish (next day) and Muslim (day after)…

As Muslims we DO NOT differentiate between Prophets at all:
