I was wondering if anyone knows of any books/articles/blogs or anything else about the prophet salalaho alaihi wa salams method of teaching, managing behaviour, motivating and anything else related to teaching and developing people?
Do you know any muslim teachers who's work you could direct us towards?
is there a hadith something along the lines ' dont teach your kids until they are 7' and that for the first few years give them love and let them play?cant remember if it was a hadith or saying of Ali رضي الله عنه
i know in scandanavia who have one of the highest teaching standards in the world kids start school around 7 and they end up better for it. they say kids want to play for them years so let them play and when they hit 7 they more ready to learn and sit still
This is the best method. But by play (as you know) we are not talking about useless futile play like Xbox, watching movies, browsing the web. Play means to roll about in the dust, explore surroundings, wrestle/box etc. By doing so their body and mind will develop and they will learn how to learn. Rather than sitting in a room with information being poured into their heads. This type of learning does not teach you how to learn. It limits you.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
