Those that say fi sabilliah is not important should read surah taubah verse 24 and ponder over it.

قُلۡ اِنۡ کَانَ اٰبَآؤُکُمۡ وَ اَبۡنَآؤُکُمۡ وَ اِخۡوَانُکُمۡ وَ اَزۡوَاجُکُمۡ وَ عَشِیۡرَتُکُمۡ وَ اَمۡوَالُ ۣ اقۡتَرَفۡتُمُوۡہَا وَ تِجَارَۃٌ تَخۡشَوۡنَ کَسَادَہَا وَ مَسٰکِنُ تَرۡضَوۡنَہَاۤ اَحَبَّ اِلَیۡکُمۡ مِّنَ اللّٰہِ وَ رَسُوۡلِہٖ وَ جِہَادٍ فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِہٖ فَتَرَبَّصُوۡا حَتّٰی یَاۡتِیَ اللّٰہُ بِاَمۡرِہٖ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ لَا یَہۡدِی الۡقَوۡمَ الۡفٰسِقِیۡنَ ﴿٪۲۴﴾
ENGLISH
Say, if your fathers, and your sons, and your brethren, and your wives, and your kinsfolk, and the wealth you have acquired, and the trade whose dullness you fear, and the dwellings which you love are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger and striving in His cause, then wait until Allah comes with His judgment; and Allah guides not the disobedient people.

Message of Maulana Ilyas Ghumman (DB) regarding Amarat and Shura:

English translation:

It is the bounty of Allah swt that He made us human, He made us Muslim. He honored us by being part of the Ummah of Rasoolullah saw. He connected us to the Ulama of the Ummah. When Allah swt bestows a bounty upon us, we should be grateful to Him for it, for then He will cause an increase in that bounty. If we are ungrateful, there is a danger that Allah swt will deprive us of that bounty. In today's lecture, I am beseeching our brethren in India, and those Indians living abroad, that they should be very careful in matters of the following Centers - Darul Uloom Deoband, Mazahirul Uloom Saharanpur, Nadwatul Ulama, Thana Bhavan, Gangoh, Raipur and Nizamuddin. These are our Centers. If the elders of these Centers ever differ amongst themselves in any matter, we need to be respectful of them all. We need to show love towards them all. We need to value all of them.

And, if we need to guide someone about any shortcoming, we should do it in private. If we need to advise someone regarding an error, it should be done in private. After that we should pray to Allah swt that He safeguards these Centers from evil. Darul Uloom Deoband has its own grandeur. Darul Uloom Deoband is our Central Authority. Allah swt has bestowed special honor upon Darul Uloom Deoband because of its Scholars and its God fearing people. But because of this, we do not view the other Centers negatively and we do not distance ourselves from these other Centers. It is my request to all to be very careful in this matter. Darul Uloom Deoband is ours, and if due to some peripheral disagreements, Darul Uloom Waqf comes into being, it is also ours. Nizamuddin is also ours. If some elders have disagreed with Nizamuddin then those elders are also ours. In the matter of Shura and Imarat, all these people are our people. We should show devotion to both, we should show respect to both, we need to make dua for both.

May Allah swt make us a means of unity in the Ummah. May Allah swt protect us from becoming agents of disunity in the Ummah. May Allah swt use us as a means of spreading good, and protect us from becoming a means for the spread of mischief. In this atmosphere where a lot of things are being brought forward, we should not give outsiders an opportunity to ridicule us and spread negativity about us. We should not allow them to benefit from our disagreements. May Allah swt give me understanding to act appropriately, and may Allah swt grant all my listeners the understanding to act appropriately.

It is my request to all those who keep company of Ulama and themselves are practicing, God fearing, or on the path to learning these things, both men and women, learned and lay persons, that they value Darul Uloom Deoband, Mazahirul Uloom Saharanpur, Nadwatul Ulama, Thana Bhavan, Gangoh, and Raipur and all other Centers. They should not become a means of mutual animosity. May Allah swt make us the means of the spread of Good. May Allah swt allow us to aid in the strengthening of Deen, and to assist those who are involved in the strengthening of the Deen. All these persons are ours. Thanvis belong to us, Madnis belong to us, Amarat belongs to us, Shura belongs to us, Saharanpur belongs to us, Gangoh belongs to us, Thana Bhavan belongs to us, Nadwa belongs to us. All of these are our people. We need to show love towards our people. If anyone of our people make a mistake, we should advise them with love. We should not spread hatred.

May Allah swt grant us all an Islamic life and make our end on the faith (of Islam). May Allah swt protect us from evil, and make us a means of good. May Allah swt grant us to die as a Muslim. May Allah swt accept us and our good deeds, forgive us our sins. May Allah swt not deprive us from the service of Deen due to our sins. May Allah swt accept me and accept all of you as well.
