What is a lateefah?

Is there anything in quran and Hadith about it?

He is called by Abdullah or Eesa!

His mother would recite Surah Mariam daily or listen to it daily whilst she was pregnant with him.

His mother states that he has always maintained cleanliness. At the young age of 2 years, he stopped wearing his diapers and started going toilet. he didn't have what we call potty training. At the same age, he stopped wearing protective diapers at nite time. He would wake up in the middle of the night and wake his parents to take him to the toilet. He had never wet his bed from the age of 2!

Allah answers the call of everyone. Even the kuffar. We have ourselves forgotten our status. How can I explain, how much Allah loves us. If we have yaqeen, we can turn the direction of this whole universe.

Ki Muhammad SAWS sey wafa tu ney toh hum tere hain
Ye jahan Cheez hai kya Loh o qalam tere hain.

If you are loyal to what Prophet Muhammad SAWS taught
Then everything is yours. Even the Celestial Pen and Tablet

Recognize your khudi and Allah is with you.

I don't know why people are hopeless. It all starts from thoughts. Remove the negativity inside you and then you will see what magic is happening around you. Our outer reality is the reflection of our inner state.

It is not DIRECTLY mentioned anywhere in Qur'an and Hadeeth (except QALB,Rooh and Nafs, and even those are not mentioned as lataif), infact the three mentioned are the BASIC faculties and the complex interaction between the three determines our 'personality structure' :

QALB being the seat of emotions and intuition

ROOH being the seat of logic and deduction

NAFS being the seat of temptations and ego

The objective is to keep all the three in perfect harmony,if one of them is 'over developed' and the other is 'under developed' it creates imbalance in personality and character, leaving us wondering 'how such an otherwise nice man can make such a mistake'?...the reason for many threads on this forum too :)

Forexample,if a person have well developed 'logic' his talk will leave you astonished because of his power of reasoning BUT at the same time if his NAFS is not in control you will find him leaning towards dunya in such a materialistic way that his actions will negate his logic-----imbalance in personality

A person with illuminated Qalb, you may find him crying while listening to a bayan but if his Nafs is not illuminated, the moment he leaves that bayan he may not refrain from sins, again leaving you thinking 'is he the same person who was shedding tears few minutes ago' ?

Similarly, a pious person who refrains from sins may fail to understand the consequences of some of his actions, pointing to under developed logical faculties.

Another aspect of it is even more interesting :

Take anger for example. Too much of it may lead to ZULM,too little of it may leave you coward, the necessary degree of it makes you a brave man who fights for right causes without excessive damage to others...

OR too much attraction towards opposite sex makes one an unrestricted animal, too little of it leaves one impotent, the normal degree of it leads to a clean married life necessary for procreation

One may deduce other examples based on the above.

The key word is to create harmony in character required by sharia.

Those who can spare some time to read more on the subject, please refer to ALTAF UL QUDS by Shah Waliullah ra,a remarkable book on the subject of spiritual psychology in terms of lataif.

Those who are impressed by karamaat and magic must understand that nothing is more powerful than 2 raka'ats of hajjat and if we adopt the habit of saying salam to those we know and those we know not then we will become the loved ones of the people as well as Allah and His Messenger SAWS. There is a positive kind of magic in saying salam and every sunnah of the Prophet SAWS is magical in nature (in a positive sense). Or maybe I should say that every sunnah of the Prophet SAWS is miraculous in nature.

He is a child?

My eldest could read or hear my mind/thoughts before school age. He displayed this on a few occasions. Not anymore though.

His parents didn't want him to see white Caucasian beautiful girls in the school, so they didn't admit him and as a result he attained high level of taqwa and also kashaf ;).

It is said that at night, when he was about 2-3 years old, he would say to his much older sister and his parents (of course in their respective bedrooms) to turn off the nite light or lamps. Upon asking if he was okay to sleep in complete darkness during those young years, he would say, "Allah is watching me and he will watch you too" at times he would even say he could see (something) which helped him go to sleep peacefully.

Apart from waking up to go to the bathroom once in a while, he would not wake up through out the entire night in his infancy.

Hence this comment earlier
I agree, this is becoming more interesting. I would love to understand more whilst it lasts :) (i.e. this thing about knowing without knowing - I know it won't last)
