Allah Ta'ala has not obligated anything of this nature upon Muslims. It may delight the Hazrat Worshippers to see believers dancing to their tunes and submitting to them in prostration but it is not Islam.

If the problem is following "Nafs" then following a "singular Mufti" massively aggravates the problem; it just shifts from the “Nafs” of the laymen to the “Nafs” of the Mufti.

Keep "Taqleed" to what it is supposed to be and not try to re-invent it with hyperpartisan behavior.

The next stage of this is to ONLY follow Deobandees THEN only follow certain Deobandees THEN only follow graduates of certain Darul-ulooms THEN only follow students of a certain teacher.

There is no disagreement. Also it is impossible to find a single Mufti whom we can trust in all fields.

The thing is not to choose one mufti but one school of thought.

For instance I trust Deobandi ulema in terms of fiqh. When fiqh is concerned then I see no where else. However in terms of fadhail, dawah, general lessons from Quran, Sunnah, History, I do listen to educated ones other than Deoband. Ultimately, we have to keep our heart clean as much as possible and when we are convinced that this alim is telling the truth and there is nothing in us which are ringing alarm bells then follow that alim in that opinion. However, we must keep our eyes, ears and mind for further evidence.

Whenever, there is difference of opinion try to take the opinion which is precautionary as much as possible. Allah will appreciate our ikhlas and effort even if we have made a mistake (After exhausting our resources in finding the truth). Also we must correct our aqaid. And we must gather knowledge regarding the latest developments while correcting our aqaid like democracy, liberalism, secularism, modernism etc.
