I have felt for a long time that the Mahdi will be coming at a time when more than half the world's population has been wiped out. That would mean there needs to be a large scale nuclear war where every country is involved. The ahadith about the Mahdi paint a picture of the world that cannot possibly be applied to the world of today and to the Muslims of today.

This comes to my mind

I don't think countries like
Indonesia 236 million Muslims
Bangladesh 150 million Muslims
Malaysia 20 million Muslims
and other similar countries desperately wait for Mehdi AS.
If it is true....
Why?

IMO, there are 2 major reasons in today's times that makes people yearn for the Mahdi.

1) People who are desperate to die a death of shaheed in Jihad. They could be those who are so in love with Allah that they want to sacrifice their ultimate beloved thing for Him: their life. They could be those who yearn for a high rank in Jannah but think that they could be given 10 more lifetimes and they would still not be able to earn it through every day amaal. Thus they want to just perform that one big act and get salvation beyond their dreams. Hence they wait for the Mahdi because in the ahadith their is no mention of any other significant collective Jihadi movement of the Muslims for these times. Not saying there couldn't be any such movement before Mahdi comes, there could be, but people only know of the Mahdi's. Obviously whenever Muslims think of Jihad they want some really pious leader to lead them in it.

2) Muslims who are really miserable. Especially those living in Muslim countries. Especially those Muslim countries that are labeled the third world. These Muslims ache for a world where the Muslims are dominant again, where the Muslims are not treated like the Sudras of the world. Hence they wait for the Mahdi to do this.

Now you can yourself evaluate why some are desperate for the Mahdi and some aren't.

What difference does it make? Maybe it's because their countries didn't revert through invasion. Or maybe it's because they don't eat meat. What does it matter? Or are you suggesting the rest of Muslims should also give up their desire for qitaal like them and try to just live subservient to the kuffar?

I don't know much about Indonesia or Malaysia. But this is a known fact that our Religious Bangladeshi Brothers don't mind any smoke.

We can rephrase the statement:
this is a known fact that our Religious Bangladeshi , Indonesian or Malaysian brothers don't invite any unnecessary smoke.
