I recently visited an observatory and was amazed at what I saw and learnt through one telescope in a small room.

Through the telescope I saw Saturn with its rings, Jupiter with its red spot, a nebula (?) / dead star, along with seeing the moon & stars. Great pictures can be taken with a normal smart phone.

The dead star was 400 light years away, meaning that that we were looking at the star as it appeared 400 years ago, as it took 400 years for the light to reach us. While we are seeing the dead star, Only Allah knows what is presently in that location . So we are actually looking at every time in the past, as it takes time for the light to reach our eyes, even if a few micro seconds for near objects.

I was wondering if we could see the pretty images we see on the internet from the Hubble telescope. I was told that if we were far out in space, everything would appear black and white. Its the oxygen in our atmosphere which allows us to see the pretty colors. So is color real??? If we didn't have these various gases in our atmosphere we would be seeing objects in different colors. We see pretty images of outer space online because they place oxygen and other gas filters on the lenses and take the pictures.

One astronomer of a christian background was speaking of a parallel universe theory. I told him about the hadith of 7 earths and 7 Adams (Alayhi salam).

P.s. if you are asking if stargazing is permissible due to it being a waste of time like how people say such and such is not allowed due to it being of no benefit and a waste of time, then just make dhikr while doing it

Sorry and I apologise for intervening in your thread. I have been disciplined for many months and in a moment of weakness wrote something.

Insha’Allah will not happen again.
