I did hear a Shaykh mentioned that Muhammed bin Qasim was imprisoned and sentenced to death. And that even in Prison and awaiting death he came up with a better design for the catapult for the Muslims to use in warfare. Allah knows best to the veracity of the story.
Fact remains the same, our leadership in the Muslim world are agents and collaborators.. The Saudis for example could have invested in all the areas you mentioned in the last 50 years but chose not to. And ever since I was a little child I remember every few years it being mentioned on the news of Saudis giving a new multi billion dollar contract to British Arms manufacturers and British Aero Space to supply weapons and technology. Every time when one contract expires and new one is given.
And this is a deal that they have had with the westerners to remain in power, they fund the British and western Arms industry, and these countries allow then to remain in power.
Personally I dont see any hope until the arrival of Mahdi.
