The Qur'an Connection
Be so close to the Quran..

Be so close to the Qur’an that with every turn of its page, your heart also turns. You undergo a change of character; and come out better. You come closer to Allah and you understand your religion more.

Be so close to the Qur’an that not only do you consider it to be your companion in life, but it also considers you to be its companion both here and on Yawm al-Qiyamah (Day of Resurrection).

Be so close to the Qur’an that whenever you open to read it, it draws you in deeply and takes you on amazing journeys through power concepts and thought-provoking dialogue, through history and the undisputed facts of the future and Hereafter; learning life lessons and learning about yourself. The journey doesn’t end until you end it (by closing the Book).

Be so close to the Qur’an that you make it your first point of judgement and guidance when you quarrel or fall out with a relative, spouse, friend or stranger. You place it before you with the sincerity to resolve matters and follow the causes for peace.

“... If they both desire reconciliation, Allah will cause harmony between them. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and All-Aware.” [al-Nisa: 35]

Be so close to the Qur’an that if you happen to miss your daily portion of it, it preoccupies your mind and you are not at peace until you take your regular nourishment from it.

Be so close to the Qur’an that just hearing the words, “O you who believe...” strikes something within your heart. You are all ears and attentive; ready to respond.

Be so close to the Qur’an that you truly feel its blessings in your life.

Be so close to the Qur’an that while many love listening to music and lyrical tunes, for you nothing can beat the melodious recital of your favourite Surah (chapter).

Be so close to the Qur’an that you actually walk F E A R L E S S. In every place, at all times, and every stage of your life. Your fear is only from One Being, and He is above His Throne, `azza wa jall.

Be so close to the Qur’an that the mere contemplation of a verse brings tears to your eyes.

Be so close to the Qur’an that after a long and tiring day, all you want to do is make wudhu’ (ablution) and sit down with a cuppa tea in a cosy spot for some heartwarming reading and reflection.

Be so close to the Qur’an that it becomes the first companion you turn to when you need to hear comforting words, or a shoulder to lean on in difficult times, or guidance in times of confusion. It becomes your first point of contact alongside salah (prayer) and du’a (supplication).

Be so close to the- Qur’an that its melodious verses drown away the meaningless chatter of this world and you prefer listening to it instead of listening to much of Mankind...

Be so close to the Qur’an that you become recognised for it; in your character and the way you carry yourself through life.

Be so close to the Qur’an that being in its company makes you feel like you are in the best company; the most serene, thought-provoking, heart-warming, and tranquil of gatherings.

People think you are alone... but you are anything but alone.

Be so close to the Qur’an that you can’t fathom the idea of dying without having memorised it. You can’t see yourself standing in front of Allah in complete ignorance of His Book, His Verses, His Words.

An Idea for Ulema and Advanced Students of Knowledge

I have an idea to create an online Encyclopedia of Islam based on Quran. In this encyclopedia all the topics of Quran can be categorized in two ways. Surah wise and alphabet wise.

Under the title of each topic. Ayaat related to that topic are briefly discussed and a short summary of their tafsir is written in an easy to understand language.

After that links and references are mentioned there for books and good bayans related to that topic.

For example if one wants to know the rights of parents according to the Quran.

Then under the heading of Rights of Parents, all the verses related to parents are mentioned. Then their context and summary is mentioned.

Then good books about parents written by ulema for laymen are mentioned. If any books contain various topics not related to parents then relevant chapter numbers and headings are mentioned.

After that good bayans or portions of bayans are linked related to that topic.

This will result in

1. The ability and control to the ulema and laymen alike of how much detail one wants to go in. Not everyone has the time, energy and capacity of going through all eight volumes of Ma'ariful Quran. Plus it will take years for a lay person to gather information from various sources and books. Also, a lay person is not guaranteed to get authentic knowledge about a particular topic without a guide on his own. He may end up reading or listening from the wrong source, ending up in the distortion of real message in his mind and even finishing his iman at times without him realizing it.

2. Ability to get complete picture for a lay person who can't attend madrassah and don't have access to authentic scholars who can spend hours explaining him about a certain topic. With such an encyclopedia, everyone will have access to the sacred knowledge from authentic sources in easy to understand language.

3. A nice and scientific way to gather information about various aspects of a topic from various authentic ulemas around the globe which will enrich our understanding about Islam. A single alim doesn't know everything, so why shouldn't we able to benefit from various authentic ulema at one place, accessible to all.

4. Instead of listening to complete bayans containing various topics or unnecessary details, why can't we be able to access clips from those bayans relevant to the topic we are seeking from various authentic ulema at one place and with convenience.

5. A forum can be connected with that encyclopedia site in which muslims around the world could recommend bayans and books related to the topics of quran. Also users can suggest more topic titles from the Quran. The administrators after that will decide about accepting good suggestions and including them in their encyclopedia.

6. Instead of becoming passive muqallids, we will become active research oriented muqallids. This will also make learning interesting. The kuffar and deviants are trying their best to propagate their message through various techniques. They are being very creative about it. How about us making use of technology to promote the true and authentic Islam in a manner which is appealing to the tech savvy easy going generation. I think this will be a great step in turning a dull in active and ignorant ummah into an active, positive, hopeful, creative, fresh, energetic and thinking Ummah.

Caution!

Fiqhi issues in the Quran must be avoided to avoid confusion. instead Character building, Akhlaq and the naseeha and tadabur aspect of Quran must be explored in this encyclopedia. For fiqhi details everyone should go to their local scholars on whom they trust.

Plenty of apps/sites out there already. Adding another type of data fed deen is not the solution.

Have you seen islam360 for example?

These are downloaded and left. Probably used once and that's it.

People will eventually pick and choose which definition they'd prefer to follow within the same school. it'll be chaos.

What we do need is a decent Madrasah system to teach all over again all the basics with references and it's roots (of course in a later stage) Once these principles are engraved into young students, they will now what they need to look out for and why. It should also stop them from Googling for answers as they would've learned that Google is the enemy.

Can this site be trusted? Is the khulasa e Quran it presents authentic? I read the word Maudoodi in this site.

I like the way they present the content. I wish ulema e deoband do the same thing on similar level and quality.

I don't know why my posts are mis understood.

I was praising their presentation and not content. Also I suspected this site the instance I read Maudoodi's name and that is why I asked.

I am not saying that Deobandis should distort their teachings. What I am only saying is that Deobandi Ulema need to present their content in a modern, comprehensible way for secularly educated young Muslim as well as non Muslim population.

Don't do the things not permitted and learn the things from others which are permitted.

Stick to the ancient teachings but also connect those teachings to the modern world other wise many sincere ones will be trapped by others who are more advanced in presentation. We are not living in a vacuum. Other wise there is no use for Muftisays as well because it is also not a traditional way of learning the deen.

Because you asked:

You asked if the site could be trusted! I don't think I misunderstood that.
