Hi everyone,
Assalamualaikum!

I have been busy searching for answers for a while and there is something I would like to ask you all about.
There have been numerous events that have been taking place across the world, where people have apparenly almost 'died' and have been to heaven or hell and what not. Called 'Near Death Experiences', these people are usually given a message to share with the world and what not.
The interesting thing is that they all have been given the exact same message, which is to love one another, make the world a better place and that's it.
You can get more information about these events from many websites dedicated to this subject.

One Muslim guy named Nasir Siddiki has also spoken about his own NDE. There are others too like Howard Storm, Lewis Brown Griggs and Ian Cormick.

I wanted to know what does Islam say about this. I am just searching for answers.

Thanks to all of you.

‘Near’ death is not death...hence the near death experiences have got no value in assessing ‘death’ and ‘after death’..

We will all know when true death comes but then we WILL NOT be able to report it back.Only ‘wahi’ can tell us ( and do tell us) about the actual death experience and the hereafter. Till then we can safely consider such experiences as a result of complex neural/hormonal/psychological response of brain to an overwhelming stress. That is why such experiences are broadly similar in all human beings irrespective of faith, simply because the basic chemistry of all human beings is the same...

You mean, we WILL NOT be able to report back.

The point in discussing all this is futile in my opinion. As has been said, when you expreiance death, there's no coming back. when you think you are about to die, naturaly all you want to do is come back and be a better person.

Anyone who has visions of coming back and being a better person and spreading love should actually look into what it really means to be a better person.

Ask themselves, "Be a better person like who"?

Do they then look for an example of who to follow or who to be like? If they are given this chance and they don't find their answers or find the person they should follow, they have wasted their chance and have been ungratefull to their soul and creator.

If they believe they have had a near death experience and the message was to spread love and make the world a better place, there is only one way of achieving this goal, by spreading the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw) and acting upon His (saw) Sunnah in their daily lives - whilst others might believe they are doing this by smoking weed! Of course, there is only one way that will be accepted by the creator - and that his to follow His Book(s) سبحانه وتعالى and His Prophet(s) عليهم السلام

Hi Brother,

To answer your question, "Be a better person like who?" ... You can find the answer to that in this link.
It's called a 'life review', where people are made to look at and understand what they've done.

www.near-death.com/science/research/life-review.html

It is entirely about how you treat others.
There is nothing in there about becoming an addict to weed, drugs, sex or anything else; In fact, addicts are said to get stuck in an earthly limbo or end up in hell.

Sincerely,
- Truth_Seekr

So I know how to understand your posts, can you confirm if you are addressing me as a brother in Deen or only a brother in Humanity?

Edit: I take it you are a Christian and not a Muslim after having seen sone of the work presented in the links
