Someone, I think a brother named Suleiman, mentioned here in another thread from awhile ago that Shaykh Kandehlawi (rh) proved that the following narrations had to do with Tabligh and Jihad al Nafs. Can someone share this article?
Quote from the thread:
Not only Salah but just being in the Path of Allah (even for a short while) is better than Ibadah on laylatul Qadr, in front of the Hajr Aswad, as mentioned in the Riwayah of Ibn Hibban with an authentic chain. And from the Hadith in Tirmidhi where Abdullah bin Rawaha رضي الله عنه delayed going out in the path of Allah so that he could make Salatul Jumu'ah behind Rasulullah . So Rasulullah told him: Even if you spend whatever is in the world, you will not be able to achieve the reward of those who left in the morning.
Another Hadith in Tirmidhi states: ...indeed standing of anyone from amongst you in the path of Allah for a short while is more virtuous than his offering Salah for seventy years in his home. Do you not want that Allah should forgive you and send you to Paradise?
I don't know about that specific number, so can't confirm or reject but the Qur'an and Hadith are pretty clear about the sins being forgiven for those who go out in the path of Allah. In Surah Al-Anfal and Surah As-Saff and from the long Hadith in Muslim from Amr ibnul 'As رضي الله عنه wherein Rasulullah said: Did you not know that (the acceptance of) Islam eradicates the sins committed before it and Hijrah (migration) eradicates the sins committed before it...
About the 700 positions being elevated in jannah. I don't know about those exact numbers but here's part of a Hadith related to that from Muslim:
...there is yet another thing that elevates the status of a man in Paradise by one hundred ranks - the distance between two ranks is like the distance between the heavens and the earth. Abu Sa'id رضي الله عنه asked: O Rasulullah ! what is that? He replied: Striving in the path of Allah, striving in the path of Allah.
4) In a narration from Musnad Ahmad and Majma'uz Zawa'id, Rasulullah showed a person the house of a woman who went out in the path of Allah who left behind twelve goats and one weaving tool with which she used to weave cloth. One of her goats and her weaving tool got lost. the woman made du'a to Allah about her loss and Rasulullah said: She got her goat and one additional similar to that, her weaving tool and one additional similar to that (from the treasures of Allah).
It's mentioned in the Hadith that after Rasulullah told this to the person, he said: And there she is! Go and ask her if you wish. The Tuwafi man replied: No, I testify to what you say.
Also what are the brother's thoughts on these Hadith and dawah being the greatest jihad:
Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The son of Adam never acts with a deed better to save him from the punishment of Allah than with the remembrance of Allah.” It was said, “Not even jihād in the way of Allah?” The Prophet said, “Not even jihād, except if one of you continues to strike with his sword until it breaks.”

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Haythami
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "By Him in Whose Hands my life is! Were it not for some men amongst the believers who dislike to be left behind me and whom I cannot provide with means of conveyance, I would certainly never remain behind any Sariya' (army-unit) setting out in Allah's Cause. By Him in Whose Hands my life is! I would love to be martyred in Al1ah's Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred.
proved that the following narrations had to do with Tabligh and Jihad al Nafs.
If you are going to use the narrations to show virtues of going in tabligh, then you also have to extend the virtues to whatever comes under " in the path of Allah". So the hadith cannot be restricted to going in tabligh jamat, and one can obtain the virtues by taking part in any activities that come under "in the path of Allah".
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
