imagine the psycological effect on our minor kids if all of a sudden we have to start training them to defend themselves and answer to the authorities for something that is so innocent and comes natural to all good muslims. very few kids that age are strong minded and are naturally inarticulate, nervous, even fearful when faced with adults and people in authority. they will have to face adults who have already decided that they are guilty and whose minds are already made up regarding the hijab. do you really think these kids are going to win the debate? they will come away from such encounters feeling like criminals, not understanding what they have done wrong. probably many will want to take off the hijab due to peer pressure and for an easy life.

mashallah this girl is very clever, well spoken and confident when making a rehearsed video in front of family and friends. but most girls her age are not, especially when put on the spot and facing a hostile adult audience who are just waiting for them to trip up.
