Is Bitcoin Permitted or not?

Please read PDF in full.

Due to the very nature of cryptocurrency, the fundamental fact that it has to be decentralised will mean that its current method of validating transactions which are based on gambling and chance will mean it is contrary to Islamic principles of business and hence not permitted to Muslims who choose to avoid transactions which go against their beliefs and practices.

Unfortunately the following is not correct:

I think they'll need to study the "currency" a lot more (as it's just not a simple thing considering I get confused every time I look into the matter) and from what I've gone through so far it's not based on gambling/betting when compared to any trading standards of centralised currencies e.g USD/GBP.

I am sure there are aspects that may not be permissible. So until there's solid grounds, I'm going to move this thread from Q&A Support to People's Say as it's still a very new topic to completely dismiss it or provide a general ruling of impermissibility.
