I received a message today with a Promo Fight Poster to be held at a Barelwi Masjid.

I find it VERY HARD to accept and believe.

There are a few positives in it. The youth will be in the Madrasa, they will offer Salah, they will be kept away from Pubs, Bars and Clubs. But the positives are far less than the negatives.

Firstly, boxing is not exactly a sport promoted in Islam, it is not the same as wrestling. Hitting the face is not allowed in Islamic sports. There will be Music, Dancing, Scantily Clad dressed women all over the place as well as in the Boxing Ring.

So this is definately not a good move. My question is: Why has this been organised?

£5 Entry fee and all money will go towards the Madrasa! Is that even allowed due to the Haram that will take place because of it.

This is the future unfortunately!

Incidentally have been seeing a lot of contradictory statements over the last few years about the role of the Masjid...Some claiming
Masjids need to expand their activities to be more then a place for prayer...Others stating Masjid is a Place of worship and not a community centre and those kind of activities need to take place elsewhere.

i did mention things like this will happen on another thread where some silly darul uloom leicester grad was using stupid hashtags like brown jesus ( still no idea what the hell it means) and how he is bringing his motorbike

seems like the case of two extremes again. most mosques are useless when it comes to providing services offering nothing except 5 daily salah and other extreme is this.

i do however think if this mosque has maybe another room/building which is not part of the sharee masjid it could be a good thing. i dnt see point of havin such big mosques when they only ever get filled on eid or jummah. if ur gana build large complexes then make half masjid and use other half for non religious activities. mosque can receive rent from it plus it can provide and serve the community. eg martial arts, indoor games, play area etc. close 10mins before azan and open after salah.

Having displays of sparring, fighting practice etc is all permitted and can be proven from Hadith.

But this is a Live broadcast through a projector of a boxing match that has nothing to do with Islam or the Muslim's.

it's show business!

Showing and essentially promoting an event full of scantily dressed women, music and most likely celebratory alcohol within the madrassah shows us how far a mentality shift the ummah has undergone. It shows us how secularised we've become and how we cannot distinguish between the harmful and the beneficial.

What benefit can there be in this? Do they think they are keeping the youth off the streets? It would have been better for the youth to be on the streets because atleast the youth would know they are doing wrong, they would know they need to change. And as along as they know they need to change, there is hope for them to change.

Showing this within a "madrassah" has just, psychologically, normalised the spiritually harmful actions associated with such an event. It has made it acceptable for them. Now, that hope of change for the youth has just faded. Any minute, so called benefit, will be drowned in the ocean of harm that will arise from this. Once this becomes normalised, others will follow suite and it will continue to get worse. Just read the story of Barsis the Monk. Step by step, each of his actions became normalised before he moved further and further away from Islam. That is precisely what is going on in this current system we are living in.

The system that prepares for dajjal will, like dajjal himself, seek to confuse people. Thee word dajjal itself comes from the root word which means to confuse.

And if they think they are raising money for the madrassah, what use is money raised that in the process confuses and corrupts the youth?

This, taking place within a so called madrassah, shows just how confused Muslims have become. It shows how, mentally, Muslims are being primed to accept dajjal. If there are Muslims that can actually accept this has beneficial, as permissible then what will stop them from being taken in by Dajjal?

Throughout the history of the ummah, we have gone through many physical tribulations. And whilst we are going through many physical tribulations even now, never have we gone through such mental tribulations where Muslims have start accepting the harmful as beneficial.

May Allah almighty protect us from dajjal, grant us understanding and the ability to see through the tricks of shaytan.

Now even the pious and the madrassah students have become desensitised and dont bat an eyelid.

Thats the situation of ultra conservative societies what hope is for us here in the west. Mind you there are still dissenting voices and people still complain about this sort of stuff in the west but in Muslim countries you dont find even that people think your just being trivial.
