was such that despite his deteriorating health, he insisted on spending hours in the masjid daily - even though he would be brought on a wheelchair. I had witnessed this with my own eyes for 20 years. I would shake his hand and request duas.
. His passing had me in tears... Without doubt, a LEGEND has left this Dunya.

Re: Twin (grievous and devastating) losses to the Muslims
إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
While we were grieving on the loss of great and beloved Shaykh Maulana Ismaeel Badat (RA) at al-Madīnah al-Munawwarah yesterday. It has now has reached us with great regret and sadness that the erudite Hadeeth Scholar Shaykh Muhammad Yunus Jownpuri (RA) just passed away at Saharunpur (India).
Death of a Scholar is a calamity in its own right but passing away of a these great personalities is irreplaceable.
Those of us who were close to and knew these beloved Mashaykh are overcome with grief and profound sense of sadness to express our emotions. We make Dua for Allah Ta’ala to forgive his sins and grant him the paradise (Ameen).
I am on my way to India and may be able to express my feelings better after a few days. I once again urge all of you to make Dua for them and to benefit from the Mashaykh who remain with us.
