Karan Thapar interviews Former Pakistani High Commissioner to India Mr Abdul Basit.

It is clear that, the coward that Nawaz Sharief is, he could not hold his composure in face of Mr Narendra Modi.

What a shame.

Why not sihr angle can be discussed. PMs visit to saudi, UAE, unscheduled visit to nawaz. And things changed that time onwards.

People laugh at me when I say this.

I feel vindicated.

It was only a matter of time before it was revealed what direction this bunch of liberal fanatics want to take the country in.

In spite of Imran Khan's assertion in UNGA that Pakistan will not be a part of any war wherein he meant the so called war on terror Pakistan is still under the same compulsions. Pakistan is still fighting the so called war on terror otherwise there is no reason to ban TLP. Pakistan in general and Imran Khan in particular has to do little bit more soul searching about their position regarding this so called war on terror as well as their playing the role of a western lapdog.

Sir this is not war on terror, this is war on Islamic organizations. We certainly condemn the violence perpetrated by TLP workers but if what they did was terrorism then PTI should also be banned for inciting violence in 2014, for attacking PTV and parliament house. PTI should've been banned under the same terrorism law. MQM was also notorious for kidnapping and target killings but you won't see these political parties getting banned and that is only because they don't use the name of ISLAM.

There will always be a gray list for Pakistan to be on. If it's not FATF, it's gonna be some other list. They have us shackled and they're not gonna let go. We have to think in terms of breaking these shackles, not submitting to them.

"islam zindabad", that slogan costs me nothing.

Paying taxes honestly and honestly compensating for what ever I am paid for, it requires hard effort and empties my pocket. Guarding public property..... Ahhh, it is government job....

I better say "Islam zindabad" and be a patriot.

TTP

I never figured out that TTP would like to get control of Pakistan the way Taliban has got the control in Afghanistan.

My impression was always that TTP is just support for Taliban in Pakistan.

This is a face palm moment for me.

Sorry guys and girls I was so naive!

Didn't one faction of TTP split off to form ISKP? Isn't TTP/ISKP part of the "proactive" defense strategy of the national security agency of India? Insurgencies are usually nurtured by enemy states as part of fourth generation warfare.
