Assalamualaikum,
Sir please donot fit gestures Gujrati brothers for all Indian Muslims. They have their own distinct culture. Sometimes they are not comfortable even with muslims from other regions within India, maybe due to cultural differences. Sometimes you may find separate colonies of Gujrati muslims within India, outside gujrat.

Yes, I am pulling things out of my back pocket and Pakistani children are not banned in any Indian run Mosque in UK :P

...N-O-T...

P.S: Vast majority of British Muslims have the brains not to report Mosques to Charity Commission to get the place shut down OR take legal action because money comes from Muslim pockets so people just switch Mosques and life goes on. When Muslims start reporting Mosques and Islamic Institutions to the Government I would hazard that a large number will have problems and I hope it does not happen, Insha'Allah.

Sure, Gujaratees, Hyderabadees, Koknees, Biharees...None of them are Indians they are basically Pakistanees :lol

Give it a rest, brother.

But as I said, don't really care because none of these actions are from Islam.

Wembley mosque been shut for over a month due to some kind of complaint or internal issues.

Went there to pray Salah and all the gates were locked. I asked one brother, he laughed and said, InshaAllah soon!

The point is, it has happened. :(

You live closer to Wembley so I thought you'll have more gossip:) I have seen videos on Youtube from those that are opposing the current committee and all I hear is just shouting from the few in opposition. The committee hasn't really posted many videos from their side apart from one interview to 5pillars

I don't live near there but I do work close by. We have other local places to go to alhumdulillah.

I haven't seen any videos, don't like gossip :)

Some want it to be a TJ mosque and others say it should be mixed.

Personally, I think it should be for all, equally. It's a diverse area too.

Free for all is all good but should the committee have the final say on who stands on the pulpit and pamphlets distributed outside the mosque?

The Committee should be mixed and decisions should be made upon an agreed decision based on the benefits of the people but within the etiquette of the Masjid, Sharia and the law of the land!

Who would choose them
How many would you have
Who would represent who to get a mixed cultural committee
E.g. Would one somalian be enough to represent whole of African continent
Would a Barelwi imam be ok or a salafi imam that does masah on cotton socks

So many questions

Maulana Isa Mansoori DB has also raised the issue of lack of diversity in Shura of Tablighi marakiz in the UK, and this seems like an extension of the masjid committee issue.
