The police “snatched” his father’s body after the family sought time till 10 a.m. Thursday, so that their close relatives who could not reach their place yet, could join the namaz-e-janaza and be present at the burial, Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s son Dr. Nayeem Geelani said, as per The Asian Age.

Nayeem reportedly said that the senior Hurriyat leader had expressed the desire to be buried at Srinagar’s Idgah Mazaar-e-Shohada or the martyrs’ cemetery but as per The Asian Age, the authorities refused and told that family that they wanted Geelani to be laid to rest at the nearby Muslim cemetery “within one hour.”

Dr. Nayeem also alleged that the police authorities then snatched his the veteran leader’s body and forcibly buried him after pushing and overpowering the family members and even scuffling with the women.

The younger brother Dr. Naseem Geelani was quoted by The Asian Age as saying, “Nobody from the family was present for his burial. We don’t know who gave him the gussal (last bath), who offered namaz-e-janaza (funeral prayer) for him and who buried him. We saw Abba Jan’s grave only at 10 am and offered fateha.”

The Revival of the Pakistani Taliban

APRIL/MAY 2021, VOLUME 14, ISSUE 4

Authors:

The following info is the one that I could not parse in those discussions that were taking place and I remained clueless.
Quote:
The Pakistani tribal militants were opposed to the Pakistani state due to what they deemed to be a change in the Pakistani government policies after 9/11 to support the U.S. war against al-Qa`ida and allied jihadis, including the Afghan Taliban.

What do you mean because that makes perfect sense unless you are asking why they still oppose pakistan state considering USA has left and Afghanistan is under the Taliban's control? Maybe still settling old grievances with pak military.

Since the discussions were taking place a long time ago many points have escaped my memory.

The main point that I missed at that time and that continued to delude till now is that TTP assertion was that Pakistan should not be a part of the so called war on terror.

There were some points that were clear to me at that time. For example I was of the opinion that Gen Pervez Musharraf was helpless before the US might and had to co-operate with them. For example one day the US conducted an operation in Abbotabad and killed OBL without Pakistan's permission. So the US would have taken over Pakistan too, the way they took over Afghanistan.

Other points that were not clear to me at that time were why some brothers and sisters were pro TTP and others against it.

Now I understand it. Brothers and sisters were against TTP because they targeted civilians.

I hope my point is clear now.

Bismillah.

In what seems a knock on effect from American defeat in Afghanistan. In an effort to present or convey to the world Pakistan is an unsafe place to visit and invest in. The following charade took place.

New Zealand Cricket team pulled out of a cricket series in Pakistan in an unprecednted and very bizarre fashion. Minutes before the first match of the tour was due to take place in Rawalpindi.
They Sighted a security threat. And abruptly decided to depart.

No intelligence, no source of the intelligence, no evidence & no defining of the type of alleged threat was shared with Pakistan's security agencies or with the Pakistan Cricket Board by NZC or New Zealand's Government before they abandoned the tour of Pakistan.

They are still refusing to share this alleged security threat. The game had 4000 security personnell and presidential level of security usually reserved for visiting dignitaries. Upto 2 miles radius of the stadium was cordoned off.

Many rumours that this fake and non-existent security thread was conveyed to New Zealand by British, American and Indian intelligence.

Also worth noting that American, British along with troops from numerous countries are in Pakistan. To help evacuate Afghan collaborators who crossed Into Pakistan via the border with Afghanistan. And hundreds of journalists from all over the world in Pakistan right now. But apparently a criicket team from New Zealand was under greater threat.

Pretty sure India was behind this. Probably threatened the NZ players with the threat of not allowing them to play IPL.

Anyways, cricket is a big waste of time. The people are better off without it.

The intervention came from the New Zealand Government itself asking players to pack their bags and come home. The decision was not by the Cricket Board.

Maybe India was involved ALLAH knows best. The issue is not just about cricket but the economic impact. International companies will not invest in a country that represents a security threat. This tour cancellation got global media coverage.

From my perspective the whole scenario is part of larger scheme to economically isolate Pakistan. And damage it as much as possible.Thats the point was attempting to convey in my above post.

Mufti Tariq Masood Sahab tells us here that in Pakistan people are not poor in the sense of what they get to eat. Clearly same goes about Indian Muslims too.

This raises the question : In what way the western nations are superior to us? One answer is - military might. One can ask a question again : How did Muslim defeat the US in Afghanistan? A: It is our perspective that we, or rather the Taliban, defeated the US. US has not accepted defeat.

Indian response to Imran Khan's UNGA speech

Pakistan's reply to above response

First one already has three million views.

Second one is still less than a million views.

Indians are trolling Pakistani reply.

Pakistanis are not that active on Indian response.

Jazakallah Professor Sahab for posting this.

India has a paid troll army, which tries to push the BJP-RSS agenda on every online platform. There is also a disproportionate presence of relatively affluent upper caste Hindu bigots online. And, India has gross numerical superiority over Pakistan. This probably explains the number of views and nature of comments on the two videos.

Professor Sahab, I know Mufti Tariq Masood Sahab's heart is in the right place, but perhaps he should approach Ali Bhai in a more conciliatory manner. Maybe they could just sit down and talk about things they agree upon. It would help create an atmosphere of camaraderie.

These issues are not something that can be settled with debates. Partisans on each side will only cheer on their heroes. Some good that does result from such debates is that there are some fence sitters who are genuinely in search of truth and also have the maturity to question their beliefs when appropriately challenged. One of Ali Bhai's close associates is now no longer his follower and has taken to following respected Ulama after having spent some time in tabligh.

Mufti Tariq Masood Sahab was recently sucked into a debate unprepared, and the general perception created was that Mufti Sahab was out of his league. The impromptu debate was with an Ahle Hadeeth speaker. After some online back-and-forth, the matter eventually fizzled out because neither side wanted to beat down on a dead horse, so to speak.

Mufti Sahab's special gift is motivational speaking and fiqh for the masses, and mashallah he has touched many people's lives positively, but he is not a trained debater, so I think he should sit this one out. Ali Bhai does excellent work calling out bidat and hazrat worship, but he tends to go overboard in his zeal, and ends up throwing the baby out with the bath water. Ali Bhai could benefit immensely from the company of a pious alim, sufi, or dayee.

Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan Passes Away

Abdul Qadeer Khan, revered as the father of Pakistan’s nuclear programme, has died at 85.

The Pakistani atomic scientist, hailed as a national hero for making his country the world’s first Islamic nuclear power but regarded by the West as a dangerous renegade responsible for smuggling technology to rogue states, was transferred to hospital with lung problems, state-run PTV said.

Khan was lauded for bringing Pakistan up to par with archrival India in the atomic field and making its defences “impregnable”.

But he found himself in the international crosshairs when he was accused of illegally sharing nuclear technology with Iran, Libya and North Korea.

After a confession on national television, Khan was pardoned by then-president Pervez Musharraf but remained under house arrest for years in his palatial Islamabad home.
