1. If you read my post carefully, I haven't said that I am not consistent in my dhikr but it is the other way around.
2. No where I have mentioned that I have taken dhikr from books. The Tassawuf dhikr I do was given to me by my Shaykh.
3. I don't doubt my shaykh but he lives in another province and I lost his number after my first meeting in Tablighi Ijtimah. I have no bughz about true aulia. Just being careful.
4. I can be wrong but I think that it is a heart to heart relation and spiritual communication is more important than physical contact. I don't know how to explain my thoughts. What I mean is that Shaykh is a means of getting closer to Allah and Allah is the one who inspires good and clear thoughts in one's soul.
5. Everyone has different ways of learning. I don't criticize those who join the company of their shaykh for islah. However, I have a different temperament. I am more comfortable in self discovery compared to "Do this and don't do that" approach.
6. My methodology is to ask guidance consistently from Allah. Study and do research on deen. Contemplate and after reaching conclusions, ask the ulema (whom I trust) about my conclusions. Change my conclusions if I am proved wrong. I prefer this method instead of "Jee Jee Jee Acha" behavior. I know that according to Asian standards "I am a weirdo". I have tried to change it but my curious mind doesn't allow me to.
