Asalamo alaikum all,
I obtained a fatwa recently. The answer to the fatwa, written by a respectable Mufti sahab , is in Urdu. The answer is about one page long.
The problem is that I am finding it hard to understand some parts of the Mufti sahab's handwriting.
If any brother/sister here, is willing to look at the fatwa and re-write it neatly in Urdu,or translate it into English,I would be very grateful.
I have attached the fatwa.
P.S: The fatwa is not written in complicated language or anything.I could make out most of it.However there are parts which I can't comprehend due to the nature of handwriting. So it should not be that hard a task.
Akabir are all worthy of honour and respected. We don't put them on levels. If one is called grand mufti- it's only intizami.
Mf rasheed was jami' ma'qool wa manqool (perceived knowledge and narrated). His fatawa are a reference point for current Mufti's.
Mentions his contemporaries
Akabir similitude to ring and circle (no preference to any point)
His tafarudat don't decrease his status like ibn humam also. Infact most exceptional Mufti's have tafarudat.
I wish I could translate it more completely myself, but I also have trouble with reading a large portion of the fatwā because of the handwriting.
jazak'Allah brother.
I understand that the whole fatwa has not been translated word for word, but this Aalim's translation is still very helpful.I did try to comprehend the fatwa myself, and came up with a translation quite similar to this Aalim's.
Thank you once again.
If you do not mind, who is the Aalim who translated this for you?
jazak'Allah(to both you and Maulana sahab)
I am glad you took Maulana's permission before mentioning his name.
In fact, I should have asked you to take permission before mentioning his name, that is carelessness on my part.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
