The challenge the new government will face will be suicide bombings by ISIS and PKK.

ISIS has been doing it in Afghanistan since Taliban took over. Just today the Minister of Refugees of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Haj Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, was martyred in a suicide bombing while he was leaving the mosque after performing the zuhr prayer near his office in Kabul.

Roshan M Salih
@RmSalih

I honestly don't get some of the posts I'm seeing on social media trying to shut down or discredit people who may have concerns about the future of Syria.

It's quite normal to have mixed feelings about what's going. You can be happy that a tyrant has fallen and that people don't have to live under his dhulm anymore, and you can also be concerned (based on recent history) that infighting between factions may occur and that Israel and the West may exploit the situation.

I personally think the best attitude to have (Islamically speaking) is pragmatic optimism. In other words, don't be all doom and gloom but be realistic too because that realism could help prevent mistakes that may occur.

Maybe so, as long as those accepting assistance from America are fully aware that it is not providing any assistance out of benevolence but to further it's imperial interests and those of Israel.

Incidentally same arguments were used by gulf states, back in 1990 in allowing America to establish military bases in their lands to supposedly combat the tyrant of Saddam Hussain. And use the bases to launch the attack against Iraq. Americans never left and those same bases are used to destabilise the region, and protect Israel and the puppet Arab regimes.

It was the Saudis allowing the American bases in the land of the Haramain which incensed and outraged Osama Bin Laden, he gave that as the main reason in his edict titled the declaration of War.

The above and the treaty of hudaibiya have been used as an alibi by treacherous regimes in the Muslim world to betray the Muslims. Musharraf had Dr Tahir Ul Qadri issue an edict that his complicity with the Americans was akin to the treaty of Hudaibiya...and their was good in it.

Unfortunately, fake news and splinter groups (as well as many fake pro Palestinians, i.e. pro Assad, Shia) are undoing all the good the non-Muslims benefitted from in regards to Muslims and Islam when it came to Palestine.

Good news, World Cup host will be awarded to KSA in 2034, combined Umrah n World Cup Package.

Extraordinary", according to the Saudi Football Federation. Its bid proposes 15 stadiums, (including three that are under construction, and eight where work is yet to start), across five host cities, including one (the futuristic development of Neom) that is yet to be built.

Fifa's evaluation report hails "a range of impressive stadiums which, when built or refurbished, could offer state-of-the-art infrastructure".

It is also almost certain to be held in winter. But there could be one major difference with neighbouring Qatar's tournament, which took place in November-December, 2022.

Noting that summer temperatures "can exceed 40C", Fifa has said there is an "elevated risk in terms of event timing" for Saudi 2034, and referenced having to navigate "climatic conditions" and "religious events", leading to speculation the event may be held from the start of January to avoid a clash with Ramadan.

The Premier League and other top European leagues would oppose a winter World Cup, according to the PA news agency.

It will go ahead. They can keep crying about having to pause premier league mid season like they did for Qatar.

@shiblizaman on X

Currently, HTS (Hay’ah Tahrīr al-Shām), the rebel group which drove out the government of Bashar al-Assad, is repelling U.S. and Turkish backed rebel factions who are also fighting each other.

HTS is repelling SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) in Northern Syria. SDF are U.S. backed Kurdish fighters from Leftist Kurdish groups such as YPG. And the Turkish backed (and, in the past, unofficially backed by the CIA) SNA (Syrian National Army) —previously know as FSA (Free Syrian Army)— are attacking Kurdish villages held by the SDF.

HTS has taken Dayr al-Zūr (spelled Deir Ezzor in Western media) from SDF in what appears to be a bloodless advance. SNA have taken Manbij from SDF. SDF are no slouches in battle (they defeated ISIS), and could make the situation much worse, but they’ve chosen to limit battle —likely under U.S. pressure.

As the U.S. and Türkiye push their favored rebel groups to solidify ground in the face of HTS, the U.S. has refused to remove HTS’ terror designation and the bounty on Abu Muhammad al-Jolani.

And Israel is bombing all military installations and weapons depots to weaken HTS before they can even begin to gain control of Syria’s military facilities and resources. Israel has pretty much decimated Syria’s naval capabilities. They have taken land creating a so-called “buffer zone” outside the Golan Heights, mainly around Mount Hermon, inside Syrian territory. Israel has conducted nearly 500 air strikes across the entire country of Syria in just 2 days and Netanyahu has threatened to topple HTS if they pose a threat to Israel. When asked about this, White House National Security Communications Advisor, John Kirby, said like the lobotomized shekel fueled zombie he is:

“Israel has a right to defend itself.” Seriously.

If you’re still saying HTS is an American and Israeli subterfuge —or, worse, using the term “Syrian rebels” as if they’re some monolith— you really need to put a sock in it and spend some time reading and educating yourself on the different rebel groups. To be blunt: Shaddup.

Iranian government devotees online are pumping out all kinds of propaganda and lies because they’re furious that Iran’s proxy war which they’ve spent billions on to dominate the Middle East fell apart in mere days. Don’t blindly follow everything an account on Instagram posts just because they have 125k followers and Palestinian flags all over their profile.

Moazzam Begg
@Moazzam_Begg
This will expose many who claim to support #Palestine after the fall of #Assad and #Syria's liberation:

#Hamas “We stand strongly with the great people of Syria … and respect the will, the independence, and the political choices of the people of Syria.”

#Hezbollah: "We affirm our stance regarding Syria and its people and stress the necessity of protecting their unity."

"Islamic Jihad hopes Syria will remain a true supporter and backer for the Palestinian people and their just cause."

PFLP: “The enemy is trying to take advantage of the phase of internal changes in Syria to achieve renewed goals of aggression against Syria and its people.”

The Palestinian National and Islamic Forces in Damascus looks forward sincerely to the Syrian people’s right to determine their future and build a unified, fully sovereign Syria...

No one is condemning Syrian rebels or lamenting Assad's departure.

Now watch the insincere turn on #Palestinian resistance - especially in #Gaza.
