Try to see Syrians as people first, rather than through the narrow idea of the so-called "axis of resistance." This approach focuses on their basic humanity and dignity, instead of political agendas. Similarly, Hamas is not truly part of this so-called "axis of resistance." Iran and Hezbollah have achieved nothing for Gaza. Whatever Hamas had was developed on its own or smuggled through the Egyptian border during the brief time Morsi was in power.

Revenge is secondary now, let the syrians breath freely in peaceful atmosphere. We heard first hand stories from Indians witnessing the camps/tents (from a distance) where syrians were living in peak winter.

With the collapse of those regimes and the shutting down of established administrative institutions, the entire state collapsed and chaos ensued. No police force, no health ministry, no education ministry, no fuel energy minister.

In Iraq there were protests following the fall of Saddam Hussain because their was no police force because the Americans disbanded it, and no one's life honour or property were safe. ...everything had to be rebuilt from scratch and 20 years later nothing functions even to the level of efficiency to the rule of Saddam Hussain.

It is wiser to keep those institutions intact , and experienced administrators, police, teachers in position. During a transitional period until competent replacements can be found or trained.

You will note that in Afghanistan 3 years ago when the Taliban took over they also kept the institutions and police in tact.

I presume the Opposition also made a deal with people in adminstrative ministeries positions to allow them some agency in the new era, if they turned their backs on Assad.
