Strict rules meaning it doesn't attract parasites like umrah forum. Our guys are frequently using WhatsApp, telegram, Facebook and Twitter to spread messages and for conversation.

People come here post a few times see its not busy and just move on I suppose...! Similar to people going to a restaurant if its not that busy they dont return, the busier you are the busier your restaurant.

Maybe because of the bigotry that is displayed by some which leads to a lot of sidetracking and going off various tangents.

Every menu has been digested, almost.

we've covered pretty much every topic. people now want more spice, salt or sugar.

now it's a matter of just going about the daily chores.

salaam

amongs other things...

1. the design of the forum looks very old and outdated and comes across as amateurish.
2. most forums i know are powered by vbulletin whereas this one isnt so the layout and usability differs from what people are used to.
3. google 'islamic forum' and muftisays appears on second page. google 'muslim forum' and i gave up looking for muftisays on the 5th page. even the qadiyyanis appear on the 5th page.
4. hardly any active new members. makes the place seem like a boys only club were everyone knows each other.

Muftisays is a restaurant for the over 40's a quite place were we can follow our dietary restrictions of less salt, less sugar, and less spice, and where we can sit and reminisce and argue about the past and pretend that our opinions still hold sway and have influence with the youth.

As for the youth they like restaurants with hustle and bustle, loads of noise and laughter plus extra of everything plenty of Massala and extra helpings of Dessert.

Some foods are just too heavy to digest for normal consumers

That might be true.
But probelms of the Ummah remain still with us.
None of these problems has been solved since we started talking about them.
Some have become worse.
Few more have come up additionally.
And, frankly, some have become very critical needing urgent attention on part of the Ummah as a whole.

In view of this my feeling is that the Forum sgould have been busy overtime. Unfortunately that is not the case.

But to complete the circle let me admit once again that we have talked about nearly everything under the sun.

I would say more people discuss issues and learn about current affairs on social media.

I was wondering what happened to the Islamic awakening forum.

and those who can digest the heavy foods get too rowdy and scare off normal consumers who may find other foods palatable...
