But at this point of time, we are talking about this ONE particular incident....

(Giving the benefit of doubt as per the Sunnah) I believe what mkdon101 is trying to say is that if Junaid Jamshed was not on this flight, this ONE particular incident (as you say, but not fully quoting) would not have had any mention at all! It's the celebraty status that has grabbed everyones attention, not the others who have died or the plane crash or Pakistan.

It is a great loss and we should feel the pain regardless of who was on board.
We make dua for ALL those who have died and for their families too.

No i totally disagree with you. Your perception is wrong.

There have been three air crashes in the recent past, and all have shocked the common people. Even this crash, when we first heart about it, it was heartbreaking and terrible. It was only an hour later when we found it that Junaid Sahab was in it, alongwith his wife.

And even if people are getting too emotional about Junaid Sahab, this is NOT the time to pass comments! Emotions are running high at the moment. We can all express ourselves, three or four days later ..

His body has still not been recognized at the moment, all the bodies have been badly burnt and nothing is intact, only body parts.

JazakAllah Maulana. The shock and grief is felt by all but not talked about on forums with such passion and greif and sorrow, that's all.

To be honest, if it wasn't for our brother Junaid Jamshed (May Allah have mercy upon him), this topic would not have even been mentioned, or maybe just a little news article that probably no one except myself would have posted in the news section.

Even the thread by Wifaqul Ulama probably wouldn't have been made had it not been for their close relationship with the work of Tabligh (I guess) (I could be wrong)

Anyone who watches such videos repeatedly or all day has psychological issues and needs to see their GP ASAP!

Back to the topic...

Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) taught us to recognise and respect people for their stature. There are 45 people who passed away in this tragedy and there is profound sadness for all.

However, JJ (RA) had a certain status and Shariah commands us to respect him according to it. If his death is getting more coverage its only natural.

I however disagree with his body being flown to Karachi to be buried as it is not according to Sunnah (Mufti Taqi Usmani (HA) or not). They should bury him quickly (locally) and as soon as possible instead of transporting him hundreds of miles in a badly mutilated state. But celebrities get "Royal Treatment" and Sunnah takes a back seat...

Oh man ..

He is being flown here, because it was his wasiyat to be buried at Darul Uloom.

The thousands of ulema who would be attending his janaza (if his janaza takes place) would be knowing the Sunnah better.

Maulana, what if he passed away outside of Pakistan? What would happen to the wasiyat?

One may speculate on this, what if Allah blessed people with such wasiyat with a death in Hajj and Umrah?

IF HIS JANAZAH TAKES PLACE!
Think about it, a shaheed doesn't need a janazah in some cases, the shaheeds are buried where they die, normally, the bodies are beyond recognition, the wasiyat may not be fulfilled....all in the wisdom of Allah.

Instead of chitchatting, why don't we ask are selves something, "Are we ready to die" The answer is NO for a zillion reasons, not just our Iman.

Let's all ask Allah's forgiveness and carry on with life in preparation for death.

How can someone even make a Wasiyyat that they want to be buried in a Darul-uloom?

I mean not Haram but a Darul-uloom because how does one know where they will die.

May Allah Ta'ala grant him Jannah, Ameen

If I lived in an era 500 years ago these Wasiyyats made sense but Junaid Jamshed had a House in London....

Quote:

it is considered extremely disliked (makruh tahrimi) to transfer a deceased person from one area to another for burial unless it is just a mile or two (Radd al-Muhtar 1:602, 5:275) [or further to the closest Muslim graveyard]. This is the opinion related from Imam Muhammad al-Shaybani and highlighted by Ibn Nujaym, Ibn ‘Abidin, Tahtawi, and others. Second, transferring the body causes unnecessary delay in the burial process which has been advised against in the hadiths.

i wouldnt know, i tend not to open or watch such videos cant stomach them especially if its involving kids

also i never said not to mourn JJ and yes its natural when such incidents happened the most famous if any will get attention but the fact that this thread only mentioned him and most people who are texting/whatsapping seem to think only 1 person died or the rest dont matter. anyways as its still fresh and people are emotional i leave it here.

jazakAllah abo mohammed for understanding what i was trying to say and not jump to conclusions

Transferring a dead body is Makrooh Tahreemi for laymen. They should follow Sunnah and bury the body as soon as possible and where the death has occured.

For Ulama, there is no problem with anything as justification can be found

Quote:
Answered by Shaykh Amjad Rasheed

Is it permissible to move a dead body from the town where he died to another so he may be buried there?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The most correct position in our school is that it is haram to move a dead body from the town of his death to another town to bury him, even if it [the body] does not decompose by the time it takes to move it, or even if he had decreed it by will. [The reason] is that it comprises delaying the burial and exposing the body to having its sanctity disgraced.

Imam al-Nawawi said in the Majmu`,

“It has been correctly related from Jabir, may Allah be well pleased with him that he said, ‘We were carrying our dead on the day of Uhud to bury them, so the crier of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came and he said, ‘Verily the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him is commanding you to bury the dead where they died,’ so we returned them.’” Related by Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi and al-Nasa’i by authentic chains. Al-Tirmidhi said, “it is a sound and authentic hadith.”

However, the prohibition is excused if the dead body is close to Mecca or Medina or Jerusalem, for it is permissible to move it there. Imam al-Shafi’i explicitly mentioned this , may Allah be well pleased with him and have mercy on him, as has come in the Minhaj, and Imam al Muhabb al-Tabari also added to these three blessed places, any village in which there are righteous people.”

The opposite of this more sound position [which is also permissible to follow] in the Majmu` is that moving the dead body is disliked and not haram. This position was chosen by Imam al-Baghawi and Shaykh Abu Nasr al Bandanayji who are from amongst our greatest scholars, who said, “Because a proof has not come about its prohibition”, as mentioned in the Mughni (1/366).

(Translated by Sr. Shazia Ahmad)

Just saying. Shafi' school of thought.
