Bismillah.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'oon.... Could someone merge both threads together Insha'Allah. The following are the reflections of Shaykh Yasir qadhi.

Yasir Qadhi

I just logged on to Br. Junaid Jamshed's Facebook page, where there is a video of his last Jumah from a few days ago. I cannot believe the two verses that he chose to recite in the last Jumah he led, for they are so tragically beautiful in light of this accident:
www.facebook.com/mrjunaidjamshedofficial/videos/vb.248679...
In the first rakah, he recited Baqara 153-7, in which we are told that those who die in the way of Allah are not dead, but alive with their Lord. And we are also commanded to say 'To Allah we belong and to Him We shall return' at times of calamity.
In the second rakah, he recited Fussilat 30-33, in which we are informed that the best of mankind are those who call to Allah, and do good deeds, and proclaim their faith. And Allah will comfort such people at the time of death - the angels themselves will comfort them even as they welcome them to Paradise.
It is very moving that these were his last verses, and insha Allah it is a positive sign at the beautiful death that Allah blessed him with.
---
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'oon....
A PIA plane has crashed and it is feared that all on it have died, including the famous singer turned preacher, Junaid Jamshed.
May Allah have mercy on him and all of those who died!
In the summer of 1992, when I was a student at the University of Houston, Junaid Jamshed came with his band 'Vital Signs' to perform a singing tour at our campus. Hundreds of Muslim students went to attend, and of course there was the standard music, dancing and singing going on at the time. Our Muslim Student Association (of which I was an integral part!) decided to stand outside that event, and pass out fliers reminding Muslims that this was not appropriate for them to do. I was a part of that 'protest' outside of Junaid's hall.

Then, Allah guided Junaid to leave the music industry and become a preacher.
Fifteen years later, after I had graduated from Madinah, in the summer of 2007 in London at the GPU event sponsored by Islam Channel, I met Junaid Jamshed and informed him of that story. This was minutes after we had both shared a stage speaking to the largest audience in the Western world - over forty thousand people. I said to him how Allah works in mysterious ways: one day I was warning against his concert, and now we were both sharing the same stage for the same message! And I gifted him a copy of my Dua book. He was so moved and humbled that I'll never forget what he did: he literally hugged me and I could see his eyes well up with tears.

Truly, Allah raises those whom He pleases and writes love for them in this world.
May Allah accept Junaid Jamshed's death as a martyrdom (along with all of those who died!) and bless their families with patience and comfort at this trying time.

Bismillah.

Shaykh Abu Eesa Nimatullah also discussed Junaid Jamsheds death in the following lecture titled.. "what to do we if we missed prayers whilst younger? given today on his facebook www.facebook.com/AbuEesaPersonal/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE

Certainly worth a listen In it he has eloquently countered all the following objections by condescending and self-righteous individuals on social media

(1) "Why are you guys devoting so much time talking about a plane crash in Pakistan when thousands are dying in Syria, Burma and elsewhere."

(2) "Why are you focusing on Junaid Jamshed and not the others who also died in the plane crash."

(3) The Blasphemy accusation against Junaid Jamshed, that is being repeated by some even after his death on Social media.

Junaid Jamshed (RA) would be buried here at Darul Uloom, Karachi.

His janaza would be lead by Hazrat Shaykul Islam Mufti Taqi Sb (DB).

He was also a mureed of Hazrat.

May Allah grant him and the other shuhuda, jannatul firdous, ameen.

I agree 100% of that post. Even the title of this thread is disturbing. Over 45 died yet its named after junaid jashshed???? Got nothing against him and may Allah accept him among the shuhadah but dont the 'non celebrities' deserve our duas tears and sympathy?

Also in grand schemes of things what happenes yday was a minor. 45 died in a crash inshAllah all shaheed yet daily the most vile and barbaric acts take place in shaam burma iraq etc. I got a disgusting video which alhamdulillah i didnt even bother watching off a burmese kid being repeatedly tasered. I say alhamdulillah as many who watches it told me how they been disturbed all day watching it.

However hard we try to deny it us muslims r worse than kuffar when it comes to selective outrage. Ulema and famous get more attention and in terms of lands unless is the haramain or pakistan we dont care

Abu Eesa Nimatullah (is not agreeing with you infact the opposite) like i said he has "countered" those objections that is he has responded to them have a listen....!

(1) In summary he says just because people are speaking on Plane Crash in Pakistan does not mean they do not feel sympathy for those dying in other tragedies around the world.

(2) Just because people are speaking of Junaid Jamshed does not mean they do not feel sympathy or pain for others who died..It is the nature of human emotions that a person may feel more emotional concerning a person they are familiar with or feel affinity to and human emotions are sometimes beyond human control.

Title of this thread is factual but just feel it's a bit disrespectful, can we not use another word than "dead"?

Don't know, why this particular person ruins every thread?

This is a huge loss, all 48 passengers, but since Junaid Sahab was a tableeghi and a religious person (and how he left music, and all his history), therefore, it is only natural that people are more shocked. It does not mean that we do not care about the other 47 people on board. Every life is sacred and equally valuable.

Maulana Saleemullah Khan and Mufti Taqi Sahab have been regularly talking about Burma these days. In Friday sermons, or in classes. Mufti Taqi Sahab has even mentioned the troubles of Burma, and how we should help them, on his twitter account.

But at this point of time, we are talking about this ONE particular incident, and this ONE particular person called Junaid Jamshed. This same person said a while ago that "he hopes that Trump should bomb Pakistan", so why does he give a damn about anyone dead?
