Assalamualaikum, someone shared with me this that in Sawanih Qasimi wrote in notes p 103 some stories about Khidr being in the British army. "I have heard on various occasions that amongst those who were fighting against the British, was Maulana Shah Fadl-ur-Rehman Muradabadi. Suddenly one day it was seen that the Maulana himself was running away and was saying the name of some chaudhry who was an officer of the opposing army and was repeating that what is the benefit in fighting - I find that Khidr is in the rows of the British."

Who is the writer of this book Ahsan Guilani and Maulana Shah Fadl-ur-Rehman Muradabadi?

Was alaykum as salam

Shah fadl rehman ganj muradabadi r.a. was a student of shah Abdul Aziz muhaddith dehlavi and a disciple of shah afaq naqshbandi r.a. who was a disciple of shah ghulam ali r.a. who was a disciple of shah Mirza mazhar Jane Jana r.a.

Maulana manazir ahsan gilani r.a. was an alim and a profilific writer and he was well regarded by hazrat thanvi r.a.

The interpretation given by the writer in this matter is that it was destined that the British would prevail in this conflict of 1857.
