Sadiq Khan has won the elections and is now London's first Muslim Mayor.

Many Muslim's will not be impressed by his party as they don't expect him to do anything for the Muslim's of London, rather he will give the true meaning of Islam, a bad name filled with lies and deceit.

His party? Or you mean his campaign team. I think corbyn will honestly be a benefit to islam and muslims but sadiq hates him and keeps taking cheap shots at him.

I dont mind sadiq not being able to help us but at least dont harm us. His comments on hijab were disturbing and yesterday shared platform with mark regev.

We can't expect A God fearing, practicing muslim to be a political leader.

The mayor was saying something against hijab, had any other leader would have been in his place, he also would have said the same, but we could not have even complained. Possibility exists to reach to this man and explain our position.

If a political party has chosen a muslim to please muslims, be pleased. If not they will not do the same mistake again.

And no political leader in a non-muslim country can serve muslims, he has his political compulsions. So best choice is prepare and serve yourself. Don't expect and be happy. He is not hurting us; prevailing conditions, that is the best expected from a political leader.

Problem is that when non-Muslims make comments about disliking the Hijab, We stand up against them. But the problem will be when a Muslim says it, we've already lost.

The response will be: Your leader dislikes it and you voted for him. Who better to comment than a Muslim himself. If he goes on like this, they'll take us apart.

First we get morons on TV embarrassing us, now we got a leader running the city embarrassing us. Khair, let's hope he comes to the truth.

i dont get some of you guys. how on earth can this be a good thing for muslims? why have a 'muslim' mayor or leader if he himself has nothing to do with islam than just the name. i agree 100% with abu mohammed. this is a very bad thing for us. had zac or boris said anti hijab or pro israel stuff we can some what object to it but if sadiq does it its the perfect ammunition for neo cons and islamaphobes. they will say how am i being anti muslim ur OWN muslim mayor says same thing.

secondly even if he was a sincere guy who really wanted to benefit us ( which i doubt he is) he cant. the worlds eyes are on him. if he does something remotely which looks like helping or favouring us it be used against him. surely us muslims we are taught to always pick truth and justice. mostly muslims who voted sadiq did so solely because he is pakistani/muslim. whatever harm he does to us ( may Allah save us and guide him) i hold all those muslims who voted him responsible. i was met with alot of anger when i was encouragin people to vote greens instead.

finally all is not lost. we can still make good of this by lobbying him and keeping him on his toes, unfortunately muslims are very useless at that and excellent at complaining and being armchair pundits. we dont get involved in politcs or anything then final weeks before elections we think were the bees knees. we can all start by email sadiq to explain why he shared a platform with mark regev. i sent an email to his team i let you know what they say

The First thing Sadiq Khan did after getting elected is to pledge allegiance to Israel and share a platform with the Israeli Terrorist Mark Regev…! So now The House Slave Sadiq Khan is crawling like a vile dog at the feet of the Zionists in order to curry favour with the Zionist controlled media in the West.

Even more bizarreley he claims the very real and relentless vilification of Muslims on a daily basis is non-existent. Whilst at the same time endorsing, the imagined and non-existent “anti-Semtism” claims of the Zionist Lobby.

When attacks have been made against Islam and muslims by the media, Sadiq Khan has offered full succour and sustenance for those attacks and come out and stated that “There is absolute freedom to offend” and that “Muslims have a false sense of Victimisation”. When the Zionist controlled media makes regular false and fabricated claims of Anti-Semitism to deflect attention from legitimate criticisms of Israeli attrocities .. He suddenly becomes angered and states: "This is unacceptable" ( Meaning that no one has the right to offend the Zionists by mentioning Israels Barbaric treatment of Palestinians.)

I firmly believe the Conservative Party deliberately ran their campaign in a divisive manner to help Sadiq Khan, get elected…. After all a House slave like Mr.Khan will be able to launch attacks on muslims that a non-muslim would not be able to.

you could be right about tories helping sadiq. im not going to defend zac but i dont really think he is a racist or islamaphobe. his newphews are half pakistani and his sister at one point converted to islam which i think she still is but i dont no for sure as i dont follow celeb news. also he is known to be some what of a tory rebel who doesnt toe the party line, so perhaps they wanted him to lose and have someone they can control like sadiq.

or maybe its just a conspiracy and he will sabotage any chance of corbyn getting into power by attacking him non stop
