many Muslims try to prove that secular studies is also ilm (divine knowledge). and they are going to use Mufti Saheb's comments to do so. his comments aren't new, many people have talked about this before. but the same people put secular studies on a much higher pedestal than ilm. we still have fuqaha and muhadditheen but we have no ibn rushds in our schools of philosophy and ibn sinas in our med schools.
this is what i wanted to mention. anyways, mufti saheb's feeling aren't new. but he might be the first "muttaqi, Allah-wala, traditional" Alim to say so so people might twist his comments in order to convince others.

The education related to worldly affairs, that is becoming secular, due to our ignorance, and some weaknesses also, needs to be islamized. This is the point.
Use of word "skill" for engineering etc etc instead of "ilm" seems okay, but not the word "secular (la deen)".

This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
