I noticed in the Bedford quiz a Muslim event the constant stating of disclaimers

Well I'll add mine into the mix as an amateur researcher and commentator.

If I post a link to a video or an article or an organisation that does not necessarily mean that I agree with everything that they say or do or think.

This is due to constant and intense scrutiny but appears on all social media sites anyway
As a norm now

The event I hope showed that we Muslims ourselves have differences of opinion on many aspects of Islam.but this should already be obvious to an educated non Muslim.

The constant pressure to condemn will also be discussed

the dark side of social media is that within seconds anything can be blown out of proportion and taken out of context
and its difficult not to get swept up in it

in fact in this statement itself the word "blown" can be taken as insensitive ,incendiary and provocative

anyone can be hypersensitive, few can be balanced and objective

even the quotes origin and my posting of it can be used and understood negatively

sometimes maybe it is the lens of the reader that just needs a little cleaning

shall we now start every sentence or post online or in real life with a legal disclaimer and context referral

MAYBE IT IS THE LENS OF THE READER AND EARS OF THE LISTENER THAT NEEDS JUST A LITTLE CLEANING
