I've feed some of this back to him, and he agrees it doesn't look so great from a spectator point of view.

His videos generally come across as if there is a personal score to settle, but above and beyond that he is quite passionate to defend the creed, and dignity of Ulema Deoband.

Thus far, there hasn't been any Salafi scholar or student of knowledge that's come forward and presented a meaningful refutation to his series.

Nice one, akhi.

Islam has many areas of expertise, and when it comes to Islamic History he is a scholar in that respective field.

He has two decades of academic study under his belt, which includes history, theology, and Hadith science, so he's certainly confident (quietly) about his trade.

Don't agree with your last paragraph brother at all.

I guess your not aware that these guys do some heavy censoring/deleting of comments on Facebook and on their fan boy new forum ahlus sunnah and then they like to align it to policy/standards and other rubbish etc

About a reply not being meaningful or someone not bringing something substantial is nothing but a load of 'sounds good waffle' that many fall for even myself initially. Truth is their is a lot of bias, and if you remain neutral and pass on comments/sites/fatawa from the other side to bring it to their attention so they can reply to it (which they don't really) the you start to get labelled as a batil symphasier, closet salafi etc. Why challenge others and make such bold claims in your vids where you target all salafis, if you do then be prepared to accept. But if you start censoring and deleting then I'm sorry you come across as nothing but a joke and your not really what you claim to be. So please don't say not one single person has come forward which is not true.

Comments and threads are deleted bother and you can't deny this whatsoever the reason being because I experienced this personally. This is only makes these guys look like a joke and turn people away from the new upcoming deobandi ulema and they rather join salafis at least they get spoken to properly with manners, when you have antics like these then no matter what you say no one wants to take you seriously.

Tell him your an alim, not a clown. Learn to give your opponent credit and make your refutation more structured and academic, in regards to the audience do not censor/delete comments whether that's by you or your fan boys. Also if you want a legitimate target rather than a layman like dawah man, which is sad that you've spent considerable time and resources dealing with, then deal with Haris Hammam etc and there are many issues out there and people.

Before I finish I'll give you an example and this is why secular education also plays a part today or you need someone who's been through the process who can guide you, look at the vids of Mufti Abdur Rahman Manghera and Shaykh Riyadhul Haq both deobandi's who have extensively studied and travelled, now compare these two experts shaykhs with Maulana Yasir s vids/refutations and you'll see a difference of the sky and the earth, go figure.

WhatsApp it you want to further talk on it

Wasalam

Asalamualaikum brother.

I've passed on your post to the brothers and the Maulana himself for feedback. I've asked them if they intentionally censor any snippet of rebuttal whether it's on FB, or their forums, and the answer was emphatically, no.

Allahu A'lam.

When, I said a meaningful refutation, I meant along the lines of a video response. The Maulana has taken the time to make these videos, and provided incontestable evidence to counter some of the sacrilegious allegations some of our Salafi bredrins have been making/made against Ulema Deoband in general, and their aqeedah.

The best is a handful of videos which, has only touched upon some of the minor points at best, but not on the overall theme.

The Maulana is sincerely hoping for a direct response from the brothers in question.

Tell him fear Allah and stop lying I'll send you proof on WhatsApp

So he expects a vid in response otherwise he will reject? The only response he's been getting by vid is from a layman, what a joke. I disagree but if that's his approach then good luck to him.

Nice

Maulana Yasser only graduated 4 years ago, it's unfair to compare him the other established ulamah

1. Sorry for the late replies. I want to ask on a scale of 1 to 10 of ahlus sunnah, where can I put Dr. Yasir Qadhi.

2. Which topics to avoid from Dr. Yasir Qadhi OR Should I completely ignore him ?

Avoid Aqeedah and Fiqh, I guess that would be simple to follow. The same would go for Dr Zakir Naik.

Both great personalities in their own field/expertise. But we have to stick to tradition backed with a source and chain. Safer to stick to one of the 4 schools of thought.

I agree with you brother, but what would you recommend in case of his seerah lectures because everytime I search on youtube for in-depth seerah, this person always comes on the top.

His Seerah lessons are backed with references and are very popular too. Many brothers would recommend his Seerah series here. Although he has tried to use logic when it came to the ages of his wife, especially Aisha رضى الله عنها. Although I can't recall where and when I heard it, or even recall exactly what he said. But it was a logical explanation just like Dr Naik does, but logic isn't always the answer.

while we are on topic of discussing american daee's and scholars, I've got Qalam Institute on snapchat and looks like the concept of segregation is non existent, I understand imparting deeni knowledge on to worldly educated professionals but what is the use of it if its not done in correct shari' manner!
