Which oils are the best to use? I know olive but I'm talking about brands because its rare to go in to the shop and ask for olive oil.
Plus if using oil doesn't that prevent water going in the hair?
Got more stuff I'd like to discuss but lets start here.
i used olive oil on my hair and beard for awhile. but i stopped because it was too much trouble for me.
my fingers would become really oily if i touched my hair or beard, like during wudhu. topis and collars got stained.
also, it gives off a slight smell so you have to shower and then put on new oil every day.
bought the oil at a normal grocery store so i don't even know if it was legit extra-virgin olive oil as fraud is common in this business. according to one survey, most people don't even know what e-v olive oil tastes or smells like, if you ask them, they'll describe to you a mixed, stale olive oil.
a lot of gujurati and afghan women use coconut oil on their hair.
