Sorry, Off topic, but

Quote:
Brelwis and the Behsti Zewar

Do The Barelwi's have a version too? As far as I knew, the author of this book is one of the main targets for the Barelwi's as I learnt in my youth from the horses mouth (so to speak)

The Original Beheshti Zewar, became very popular across the sub-continent with parents gifting their daughters the book on her wedding day. So in response to this the Barelvis developed their own version called Sunni Behesti Zewar.

There is also a Sunni Tabligh Jamaat( barelvi version in India), The barelvis also have a Sunni Fadhail e Amal.
Ironically The Indian Barelvis fell out with Dawat e Islami so they have an Indian version called Sunni Dawat e Islami.

There is Barelvi version of Maulana Muhammad Ilyas (founder of Dawat e Islami) and there was also a Barelvi luminary called Mufti Muhammad Shafi who revived the Takfir of Ala Hazrat against Deobandis during the 1980's. The Barelvis seem to copy the Deobandis at every step.

The Ahle Hadith in the sub-continent I believe had their own version of Fadhail e Amal for a while called Salafi Fadhail e Amal...!

Yeah I've heard about the 'brelvi tableegh jamaat' here in the UK as well, especially up north.

Not so successful from what I hear.

By definition he's not a Salafi. Alhumdulillah he's alive and well :) he's a contemporary Ustadh :)

(i.e. not from the salaf)

So there is Faizaan e Amal as well?

Both Sunni Bahesti Zewar and Sunni Fadhail e Amal are written by Allama Alam Faqri.
The Dawat e Islami have their own version called Faizan e Sunnat.....With Faizan e Amal that would make three Barelvi versions.

Barelvis seem to be splintering into different groups like the Pseudo Salaafis.
