I recently heard about the Deobandis and Barelvis but couldn't really understand the differences between them. There are a few things that I'm curious about:

1) Do the Deobandis and Barelvis consider each other to be Ahlas Sunnah Wa Al Jamaa'?

2) What do the Turkish Hanafis think of both of them? Do they consider both to be Ahalas Sunnah Wa Al Jamaa'? Also what do the Deobandis/Barelvis think of Turkish Hanafis?

3) What do Deobandis/Barelvis think of the Scholar Bediuzzaman Said Nursi?

Yes, both are considered be of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa' because they both follow the Quran, Hadith and accept the ijmah of the ummah. The difference is other beliefs that have crept into the Barelwi school.

Please relevant threads regarding them.

InshaAllah others will be able to help you with answers regarding the Turkish Muslims.

Ibn Batutta, Shia and Rabbits

Ibn Batuta (RA), the great Muslim traveler from North Africa writes that in 1517, he reached the Turkish city of Sinop (Back sea region), he writes that Turkish people are hospitable and Hanafi.

He writes that he prayed with his hands on the side due to him being a Maliki and this became an issue in the city of Sinop.

The Turkish Muslims had never seen anyone who prayed with his hands untied and they assumed Ibn Batuta to be a Shia and repeated clarifications didn't resolve the issue.

The Turkish (Hanafi) laymen believed that rabbits are Haram to consume according to Shia so Ibn Batuta was reported to the city authorities as a "Shia Spy"

The deputy caught a rabbit, did the Dhabiha with his own hands and ordered his servant to take it to Ibn Batuta and not leave until it is consumed.

Ibn Batuta ate the rabbit with great relish and thus the rumors of him being (in the mind of Hanafi Turks) was quashed.
