salaam

can someone give me more insight into this. apparently hajj/umrah visas are issued free to selected travel agents in the uk. the travel agents then charge an admin fee when they allocate the visas to individual travellers. one agent who has been brought to my attention is charging up to £350 for a ramadhan visa. i dont think this agent is even on the selected travel agents list.

1. what justification do they have for charging so much for something that is issued free of charge? or do they just blatantly accept that they charge this rate for pure profit?

2. the agents that are not issued the visas direct by the saudi ministry - how do they get hold of the visas? how much do they get charged?

3. does anyone know where to get the cheapest visas for this year?

saudi authorised visa agents in uk

wa alaikum salam

The visa which is stamped at Embassy on your passport is free. The main fee the agents get charged is when they apply for mofa(Ministry of foreign affairs) basically a clearance from the ministry they have to submit your passports details online the ministry charge a fee. The Uk agents do this through Saudi umrah companies which have contract with UK agents they also charge admin fee for this service.

from the start of Rajab the Saudi have introduced a quota for umrah visas and the price has gone up from average of £70 to £100-150 for Rajab-Shahban and for Ramadan from £250-350.

Most price increase is done by those who have license with Saudi companies and us sub agent are also charged that much maybe £20-30 less.

If you find anyone who does cheap Ramadan visas let me know as well I have been quoted around £300.
The price increase can be attributed to Saudi companies who have increased their prices and also UK agents due to Quota for visas they charge more for Ramadan visas from £300-500.
