Can we convince only with words? Can we be convinced only with words?
(1) I was looking for academic refutation only. In that too I would prefer polite rebuttal only. Any assertive tone will be interpreted by the cowards as aggression and hence they will further tremble in their fears and raise as much hell as they are capable of.
(2) No, words can not convince. People have hidden agendas and sadly you can not respond to their hidden agendas even if you can make that out. Usually it is very difficult to smell hidden agendas.
(3) Since you know this point that words are not sufficient to deal with certain situations I suppose we can cover another angle - we have to make our own view known to the detractors.
(4) Please understand that Rasoolallah SAW took utmost care to communicate Islamic view to the enemies - he never looked for trouble.
(5) My view is that there still a lot to communicate to the west. The west today is a collection of idiots who live in the past fear, memory of defeated crusades.
(6) We are not out to get them. We simply want to live according to our own terms in our societies. That is all.
Why so much of apology brother? Just relax. With Muadh Khan also when you have a difference of opinion then just identify the precise point of departure and then both of you go on your respective ways. Other brothers and sisters too should do the same. The trick is to co-operate on those issues and points on which we agree and do whatever constructive things we can do. Fighting with each other plays havoc with our Quloob - spiritual state of our respective hearts.
Anyways, the reason for posting here was the translation: As you know, Urdu isn't my mother tongue so on a light hearted tone and with the hope this brings a smile on your face - Or even laughing till you drop - I'd like to translate it as a non Urdu person and as a word for word understanding and see what you make of it.

Leave the secular ways of this new and alien civilization
Otherwise you will be destroyed like the rebellious Pharaoh
Otherwise :)
This new culture has filthy eggs
Let go of the pharaonic ways, lest you become bald (in shame) Personally, I like my translation and is much more fitting :)
Edit: Bold updated to Bald which is the correct spelling, Jzk.
I rather stay away from it as it's one of the traits of Shaitan too - but that's just how I feel about it :(
Assalamu alaikum
I appreciate you've written it is permitted in Islam but just want to point out that Iqbal's poetry was completely immersed in the love of Allah and His Rasool صلى الله عليه وسلم. Even Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم would listen to Hassan bin Thabit's poetry (رضی اللہ عنه) and Ammi Aisha رضی اللہ عنها would also write poetry, so for me it is their Sunnah.
1. If you study the biography of Sayyidina Umar RA, you will know that he also used to love some poets who would say a verse or two in favour of Islam.
2. There are poets even in Sahaba RA in Prophet's SAWS time who would confront the kuffar with their poetry.

If you want to literally translate the urdu verse then I would suggest that you should swap the word "bold" with "bald".
"Ganjay" in urdu means bald in English.

4. I am not fond of poetry myself (Because I don't understand it because of it's difficult vocabulary). However, I only wrote those two verses (One was Iqbal's creation and the other verse was my imagination), because if you visit the link Professor Sahab shared then you will see that that woman in that youtube video is reciting a poem.
Ambedkar was approached by none other than Hazrat Syed Abul Hasan Ali Sahab Nadwi RA to come to the fold of Islam. Needless to say the things did not work out for the best.
As I know Ambedkar's attitude towards Islam and Muslims was of indecision.
This indecision has been used by competing parties to their own advantage in India.
So the Chief Executive (yeah that is a good translation for his official title) of the RSS Mr Mohan Bhagwat warned against Dalit-Muslim alliance 'quoting' Ambedkar.
Then there is the historical fact - Muslims saved Ambedkar from political oblivion.
