Assalamua'laikum

Humans are very selfish. We are bothered only about our own perspective, we don't care what other person is going through. And during this process, we don't give a damn of what is good or need of the hour.

Assalamua'laikum

I just shared a nice saying of one Mufti to all my friends including on muftisays.com . What i just did was shared it because i liked it and nothing else. Most of them replied back on what they feel is missing in me (they felt that I am doing some nasihah to them and they should give it back). One brother went to the extend of finding a saying of the same mufti which he thinks that will suit my nature. In this whole process, did we really take what the Mufti sahab was saying. Definitely NO. Because we are busy just to negate each other and don't really accept what is being shared.

Note: People may argue that they too just shared it back and I am creating stories out of it. /yes, it may be. But a sign of acceptance is just to accept it and not to negate someone pointing out the errors they are doing.

Abdul

Interesting point, maybe its a desire for recognition, someone mentions a quote and without reflecting on the wisdom of the quote. We try to show of by offering a better quote, vanity ujub and riyah afflicts many of us and prevents us from benefiting from others. I would say I am probably more afflicted by this condition then most, May Allah give me hidayah.

And you know sometimes.. forgiving and being silent requires lot of guts. People think, they are worthless. But the energy they have to be in control is priceless.

This is my personal experience. Think positive about a person whom you are meeting, you shall be welcomed. He may hate your group but at that particular point of time he shall behave like a gentleman.

Once Moulana Ilyas RA was travelling, the vehicle passed near a cinema theater, many muslims were in the Que to buy cinema tickets. Some one told Moulana, "see the status of ummah". Moulana replied "They are the ones who give their life to protect Islam at the time of crisis, not you and me!"

My personal thinking about barelvis. The ehsan of these barelis is that even in remote villages, in the name durgah (grave) or a flag or an aashorkhana, these muslims were linked to an identity of Islam. If they were not there, Islam would have left the lives of these remote muslims. The deobandees, salafees etc. also a part of their ignorance that we didn't present true Islam to them earlier.

I recall from a book. 1/3 of total ahadeeth are on "Huqooqullah" 2/3 of ahadeeth are on "Huqooqul Ibaad".
