There was once a jew who had amassed a huge amount of wealth. One day, he decided to take a walk through his treasury and look through his riches. In actual fact, he had a guard whose only responsibility was to guard the treasury, but the jew wanted to ensure that the guard was not secretly pocketing some of his riches. To ensure that the guard was unaware of his presence in the treasury, he chose an appropriate time and quietly slipped in by unlocking the door with his spare key. When the gaurd arrived he noticed the door open and locked it with his key from the outside. In the meantime, the owner continued counting and checking through the wealth.
After completion, he returned to the door and found it locked. The treasury was solidly built and all he could do was shout as loud as he could, but unfortunately for him, his voice could not reach the outside. He continued shouting for a long time, but nobody could hear him.
The treasury was filled with piles of gold and silver, but these were totally valueless in quenching his thirst or satisfying his hunger. He became weaker and weaker until he finally collapsed and died. His wealth could not be of any assistance to him when he needed it most. Rather, it became the primary cause of his death. Wealth and riches are worthless in the face of death.[Jawahir Pare, vol 3, p 213; Islahi Khutbat; Pearls from the Path]
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
