Seeking forgiveness from the beloved sisters and brothers :As human beings we tend to make mistakes. In one Hadith the Prophet -peace be upon him- said that Allah has commanded him about nine things. One of them he mentioned was "that I forgive those who do wrong to me."

Sometime we make mistakes without deliberation and intention. But sometime we knowingly and deliberately sin and do wrong to others. It is said, "to err is human and to forgive is divine." Both parts of this statement are very true. As human beings we are responsible, but we do also make mistakes and we are constantly in need of forgiveness. Islam speaks about two aspects of forgiveness: a) Allah's forgiveness; b) Human forgiveness. We need both, because we do wrong in our relations to Allah as well as in our relations to each other.
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), who said: "Whoever has wronged his brother with regard to his honour or something, let him ask him for forgiveness before the time when there will be neither dinar nor dirham, and if he has any good deeds it will be taken from him in proportion to the wrong he did, and if he does not have any good deeds (hasanaat), some of the other person's evil deeds (sayi'aat) will be taken and given to him to bear." Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2449).

Jazakallah for the reminder.

I have recently been going through so much emotional pain and stress that one could not withstand. I have been crying day and night (alone).

At one stage I asked Allah, Why Me? Then I thought to my self, this is wrong, this is being selfish, thank Allah it wasnt any one else, at least with the love Allah and his Rasul, I know how to forgive and forget.

It hurts deeply, It has scared me for life as well as the others involved even though they were guilty. Although I have been hurt, I had sent a text saying "forgive and forget, thats the Sunnah of Muhammad s.a.w." Alhumdulillah, the recipient of the text was over joyed and replied, "Jzk, Now I can live a happy life with my family".

I managed to pluck up the courage and forgive for the sake of Allah, and I truly pray to Allah that he helps us all change our lives for the better.

May Allah forgive those involved and give sabr to those who have been hurt, Aameen.

With Ramadhaan so close I feel I need to put things straight with everyone. On the forum over the past year we have had many discussions (lol though i should not laugh, some were more akin to battles right?) so i would like to take this opportunity to beg forgiveness of my dear brothers and sisters for any hurt my words may have caused...in my jazbah i often get carried away, sorry! Will try harder insha Allah, at restraint. May Allah subhaanhu wat'ala forgive us all and grant us all the full blessings of Ramadhaan, aameen
