بسم اللة الرحمن الرحيم

It is narrated that Suleman Bin Abdul Malik (king of Arab empire) had a grand taste for grooming, for hours he would stand infront of his mirror trying one grand dress after another, he would spent uncountable hours selecting turban which would enhance his look. His courtiers were assigned to comment and advise him on his dress, turban and appearence.

One fine friday morning he was trying his turban for Jummah prayer. He held a mirror in hand and kept changing his turbans untill he found satisfication in one. with cane in hand he sat on his throne and announced to his courtiers

"انا الملك الشاب السيد الحبحاب الكريم الوهاب

"translation : I am the king,the young,the leader,the respectable,the kind, the giver"

One of his female slave came forward so he asked her "How do u find your muslim leader?

She replied "I see him close to me than my heart, he is the light of my eyes, only if the poet wouldnt have said :

"انت نعم المتاع لو كنت تبقي
غير ان لابقاء للانسان
انت خلو من العيوب و مما
يكره النس غير انك فان "

translation :

"you are a great man if only you would remain

for no human could remain forever

you are clean from faults and those habits

that are unliked by people if only you wold not perish"

when he heard these verses his eyes welled up with tears and he went out to lead the prayer crying. By the time he was done with prayer he came back and called for the female slave. When she arrived he asked " What thing forced you to qoute such verse?", the slave was surprised she answered " I havent seen you o king until now" This perturbed the king he called all his courtiers to testify on her whether she was telling the truth, and everyone testified for her. Few days had passed after this event when king Suleman met his death.
