One day , the wind ,(who can sometimes get a bit bossy and arrogant), had an arguement with the sun, who was minding his own business and shinning as usual.
"you think you're so strong just 'cos you're so big," jeered the wind."but apart from sitting up there in the daytime and comilng down in the evening , what else can you do? can you cause huge storms, rip apart buildings and trees and ruin the landscape like i do?"
"Maybe not," answered the sun. "but i give trees their food, and i give out light and heat, so that people can see the amazing world around them and live with warmth and comfort."
"Huh!"retorted the wind . "thats nothing .what's so strong about that?"
Just then , they both caught sight of a man wearing a coat, walking along a country lane. the wind said ,"i bet you can't take his coat offhim like i can!"
And with that, he huffed and puffed with all the nergy he had.
thye man was thrown back by the wind's shockingly powerful force, but held on as tight as possible to his precious jacket.somehow, despite the extreme chill he felt in his fingers,he managed to do the buttons up. The wind couldn't do anything now!
"Hmm," murmured the sun, smiling at the wind's utter failure."let mr try try."
he then proceeded beam dowm onto the land .
The man saw the sun's ray illuminating the scenery."what a lovely day it's turned out to be!" he exclaimed to himself at the sight of the beautiful country side rolled out before him.He started strolling along, but felt hot due to his thick and heavy wolly coat.
"why did i even bother bringing this with me?"he sighed as he took it off and walked away into the distance to enjoy the sunny afternoon.
