is the info/facts in this articIe authentic??

Masid e Quba, just outside Madinah Munawwarah, Saudi Arabia, is the first masjid ever built and the national masjid of Saudi Arabia. Its first stones were positioned by the Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam himself on his emigration from Makkah to Madinah. The masjid was completed by his companions. Muhammad Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam spent approx 14 nights in this masjid (after migrating) praying qasr (a short prayer) while waiting for Hzt Ali RAD whose house was behind this masjid.

According to authentic traditions, offering 2 raka'ahs of nafl saIaat in Masjid e Quba is equal to performing one Umra. Prophet Muhammad SAW frequented this masjid and prayed there.

This is referred to in a number of hadith: -

Narrated by 'Abdullah bin Dinar : Ibn 'Umar said, "The Prophet used to go to the masjid of Quba every Saturday (sometimes) walking and (sometimes) riding." 'Abdullah (Ibn 'Umar) used to do the same. (Vol 2, Book 21, Number 284 Sahih Bukhari)

Narrated by Ibn 'Umar Radiyallahu 'Anhu: The Prophet used to go to the masjid of Quba (sometimes) walking and sometimes riding. Added Nafi (in another narration), "He then would offer two rakat (in the masjid of Quba)." (Vol2, Book21, Number 285 Sahih Bukhari)

Whoever purifies himself (take wudhu') in his house then comes to Masjid Quba' and prays in it has the reward like that of Umrah. (an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah)

Masjid e Quba is also mentioned in the Qur'an as the masjid founded on piety and devoutness (Masjid al-Taqwa):

"Never stand (to pray) there. A place of worship which was found upon duty (to Allah) from the first day is more worthy that thou shouldst stand (to pray) therein, wherein are men who love to purify themselves. Allah loveth the purifiers". (At-Tawbah Sura 9:108). Pickthal translation

In front of Masjid Quba, is a sweet-water well that is now closed. The Prophet Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam's ring (which he wore which was then kept by Abubakr Radiyallahu 'Anhu, then by 'Umar Radiyallahu 'Anhuand and lastly by 'Uthmaan Radiyallahu 'Anhu) fell into this well hence the name Bi'ru al-Khatam (khatam = ring). Sayyidina 'Uthmaan Radiyallahu 'Anhu ordered a thorough search of the well. For two days water of the well was pulled out, but it could not be found.

It is also called Bi'ru Tufla because at first its water was salty but when the Holy Prophet Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam put his mubarak saliva into it, it changed to sweet refreshing water

Joined to Masjid Quba is "Mashrabat Ummu Ibrahim". This is the room of the Prophet Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam's wife Mariah Qibtwiyya (Umm Ibrahim). The Prophet used to live and pray here.
