Hajj petition??

This year many people have suffered at the hands of scrupulous Hajj Tour operators. The British public need to take action to ensure that these operators are strictly monitored.

As you may or may not know many hajji's (pilgrims) got ripped off this year and I am sure many have been ripped off beforeHajj visas, which are issued free by the Saudi Embassy, were being sold on the black market for anything up to �1000 2 months ago. Visas that were allocated to an operator were being sold on at huge profits, leaving those that intended to travel, without a visa, all in the name of business !!!!

Pilgrims were promised decent accommodation and conditions, and were then poorly let down, and in some cases stranded.

There have been brothers and sister, who paid for packages in full and the operator failed to take many of them. 5 months on they still have not received refunds and many people are at least �2,500 per person out of pocket as a result. Some families are owed up to �10,000 by an individual company. You may even have come across people yourself in the same position

We need to take action so that we are protected by laws and scrupulous operators have their licenses withdrawn, so that they are no longer able to operate.

Remember, Hajj is a once in a lifetime experience for many, it is something that some people spend their life savings on and put their hearts and minds into. The last thing people want is to be exploited by bad operators who can, in some cases, leave people stranded and out of pocket.

There are good operators out there, and we need to do all we can to weed out the bad ones.
