As part of a curriculum of a Western school in West Virginia (USA), guest speakers were often invited to address the students on various topics.
A few months ago a Swiss airhostess had been invited by the school.
As the assembly had gathered eagerly awaiting her arrival, the stage curtain was reluctantly drawn back; whispers began to fill the once silent hall as the curtain exposed a veil-clad woman from head to toe. As the audience settled she began with a single sentence. "The West has spat". They have spat out the Islamic life ordained by the Almighty Allah سبحانه وتعالى for women, a life in which her place has been reserved for the home and her dignity and honour lies in the preservation of her modesty. As a reward for adhering to all these commands she has been promised Jannah.
By transgressing this single command of Allahسبحانه وتعالى that of making the Queen of the home a slave of the market in the name of equality and keep up the so called 'advanced generation', they have tainted the status of a woman and insulted her physique. Her petit structure, which was created , to cater for the bearing and rearing of children has now been thrown into the ruthless business field leaving her to compete against her opposite, man. All this has resulted in the deformation of social structure leading to countless marital problems, divorces, single parenting, etc.
They have vomited out their own values, wisely described as "they have spat" and we are more than willingly licking it up.
Instead of showing them the light we accompany them into the darkness, we are drowning in western intoxication. We continue to trample the revered Sunnah and discard the Noble Qur'aan. We who are supposed to be the guiding lanterns, remain in darkness so how do we expect to lead others to light?
