Sun rising from the west

I received this as an email some time back, thought i'd share it...

The science of astronomy states that the speed of planet Mars has been decreasing in its course toward the eastern direction in the past few weeks to the level that we notice the "waver" between the east and the west...

On Wednesday the 30th of July the planet movement stopped going toward the eastern direction...

Then in the months of August and September, Mars changed its course in the opposite direction to the West- and that until the end of September. Which means the sun will rise now from the west on Mars!!
And this weird phenomenon of the opposite movement is called "Retrograde Motion".
Most scientist state that all the planets will go through the same at least once and our planet Earth is one of them. Planet Earth will move in the opposite direction some day and the sun will rise from the west!!
This might occur soon and we are unaware!

The rise of the sun from the west is mentioned in the hadith and this is the major sign of the Day of Judgment. Most if not all, the minor signs have occurred. Wake up.

Our beloved messenger Mohammed said:

"One of the signs of the hour is that the sun will rise from the west, where after tauba (forgiveness) will no longer be granted"!!
And the strange thing most of our Shariah scholars mentioned is that the rise of the sun from the west occurs only once. On that day the sun will rise from the west...then again from the east...and continue this way until Allah wishes. This is similar to what is happening to Mars...it stops, then it changes its course of direction for a short period of
time...then returns to the way it once was.

The messenger said: Allah extends His Hands in the night to forgive the sinner of the day and extends His Hands in the day to forgive the sinner of the night.
This piece of news is very important as it brings with it a great sign of warning and remembrance of the coming of a new WORLD - the world of the Hereafter. And it is also good material for calling others to ALLAH سبحانه وتعالى. whether for Muslims, the unwary of us or the kuffar.
When we show this hadith that was told 1400 years ago about this miracle... InshaALLAH, many will enter this beautiful religion...And the Muslims if they see this phenomena happening in Mars...who knows maybe it would bring them closer to our CREATOR.
May Allah سبحانه وتعالى keep all of us in the Right path and provide us with success in this world as well as in the hereafter.

I received this as a forward but the same person emailed me saying that it was a false rumour and that it was not actually true. I was quite terrified when I heard about it, but it wasn't true.
I think the best thing to do would be to email the people at Nasa to clarrify.

During opposition, Mars and the sun are on directly opposite sides of Earth. From our perspective on our spinning world, Mars rises in the east just as the sun sets in the west. Then, after staying up in the sky the entire night, Mars sets in the west just as the sun rises in the east. Since Mars and the sun appear on opposite sides of the sky, we say that Mars is in "opposition."

I Apologise to all for posting a message that i did not clarify prior to posting. I did not do further research on the topic, however i didn't doubt the truthfulness of it as we have been told by Our beloved Prophet that the sun will rise form the west, near to the time of Qiyamah. Hence I thought there's a possibility that it can happen on another planet too. Please forgive me.

i just read all your messeges and it just made me realize that the Day of Judgment can happen anytime, any day. i've had a friend explain to me about the minor signs that have occured, like the twin towers..but im still young so i don't really know the full story about how it's all going to happen, so i was wondering if anyone's got a link to a website where it explains everything? thanx

I can recommend a good book called "Signs of the day of judgement" written by Ibn Katheer.

As for the website I'll have a search and post something when I find it Insh'Allah.

Sis Muslima, don't worry there's nothing to forgive. When I first read it, it took my surprise, and it scared me. Even though there is a mistake in the article we should still take something from it and turn more to Allah.
