As-Salaam alaikum,
Imam Qurtubi, in his book titled 'In Rememberance Of The Affairs Of The Dead and Doomsday', he observed as did Sheikh Ibn Arabi in the Futuhat al-Makkiyyah, that this world is a bridge to be traversed, not settled in and populated. Just as it is with you, the human being, at the time you see something in your dream, you traverse, you interpret; you do not settle into a life populated there in the dream. When you wake up, you will not find anything you saw in your dream, whether you saw something good or bad-- not houses, buildings or tables- and no fine experiences or vile ones.
But certainly the one who knows may interpret for you... and say your dream indicates such-and such. Similarly, the life of this world is one of being asleep. When you pass on to the next world by dying, nothing transfers with you..such as houses, family or wealth. It is just as when you awake from sleep: you don't find anything in your hand now which had reached you in your dream when you were sleeping. This is why the Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam said that we are indeed asleep in this world and in the other world will be the awakening; and there the 'dream' will be interpreted and crossed over.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
