There are many who say that any Dua made when sighting the Ka'bah for the first time, it will be accepted by Allah.

There are also many who say that there is no basis for this.

Is there anything to supprt either statement?

We are aware that looking at the Ka'bah itself is rewarding. But can onyone shed more light on the FIRST SIGHTNIG.

Jazakallahu Khair

Good topics MashaAllah

I've been studying for hajj and the same thing has been said by

Shaykh Mufti Muhammad Sadek of Luton
Sheikh ul Hadith Abdul Raheem lambada of London
Sheikh Saleem dhorat of IDA liecester

If these guys have said it, believe it to be

They all are awesomely knowledgable and are a blessing for us in this period of time. May Allah protect them.

But it would be nice to have "DALEEL!"

May Allah reward them greatly for their efforts for the Deen. Alhumdulillah.

I would, but there are some places where I can't, and its not about picking and choosing. Sometimes another scholars opinion is better than others.

InshaAllah, I will try to get the reason why I ask this!

Quote:
Many people have this wrong notion that the first time they look at the Ka'bah, any dua that they make will be answered for sure. This is not true as this has no evidence from the Sharee'ah. And any 'hadeeth' that you may find regarding this matter, is either extremely weak or fabricated.

When asked about dua being accepted at the first sight of the Ka'bah, Shaykh Sa'd al-Humayd repied: "This is not true; there has to be evidence for this to be true, because acts of worship should only be based on evidence. And that evidence must be saheeh in and of itself and it should be clear and unambiguous. And Allaah knows best." (Shaykh Sa'd al-Humayd)

However, this is not the place where I saw it.

There was a Hajj pamphlet distribution outside our masjid sometime ago and I read almost the samething on there. (I cant remember the groups name)

We find the same reply here too.

Having posted the above does not mean I agree with their ruling just yet, because there are numerous Ahaadith that mentions virtuous deeds that our Ulama consider to be sahih and valid but at the same time they are considered baseless and innovations according to other Ulama of different schools

Allahu alum.

Asslamo Allaikum Brother,

I am not entirely with you on the issue.

  1. I havn't come across any evidence that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist
  2. Even if there is no evidence from Qur'aan & Hadeeth the matter can still be declared praiseworthy as explained by Shaykh Uthaymeen (RA) here

Jazakullah Khairun

Recite as many Dua's as you can in one sitting starting with Durood and ending with Durood.

Even if the question in the OP is not regarded as authentic, then at least all your Dua's "will" go to Allah since they will be in between the Salutations to the most beloved of all, Rasul (saw)

Question

Du’as are readily accepted at the first sighting of the Kabah. Is this a Hadith?

Answer

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (radiyallahu’anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) said:

‘The doors of the sky open and du’as are accepted on four occasions;

a) When the armies clash in war

b) When rain falls

c) At the time of iqamah [for salah]

d) When looking at the Ka’bah.’

(Al-Mu’jamul Kabir, Hadith: 7713 & 7719 & Sunanul Kubra of Bayhaqi, vol.3 pg.360 with a weak chain. Also see: Majma’uz Zawaid, vol.10 pg.155, Nataijul Afkar, vol.1 pg.383-384, Al-Futuhatur Rabbaniyyah, vol.4 pg.369 & footnotes on Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith: 19861)
