Whoever treads a way against the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW) will never reach his destination.'

The richest person is the one

who is contented with what he has

Happiness is not having what you want;

but wanting what you have.

Poor indeed is the man who cannot

enjoy the simple things of life.

Beware of the rubber conscience

and the concrete heart.

The Masjid is no more to be blamed for

bad people in it than a hospital is to be

blamed for the sick people that are in it.

If absence makes the heart grow fonder;

than some people really love the Masjid.

You are not aware of the consequences that would result (if you were granted what you desire) because what you seek might be to your detriment.

(O soul) be conscious that your Master is more aware about your well-being than you are.

I complained to Waki' about the weakness of my memorisation,
So he instructed me to abandon disobedience;
He informed me that knowledge is a light,
And the light of Allah is not given to a sinner.

When you compare yourself with others in matters of wealth,
position, and health, you should look at people less favoured than yourself.

When you compare yourself with others in matters of religion,
knowledge and virtue, look at people who are better than yourself.
