"It is a most amazing thing that you should continue to be
unmindful, chasing after vain desires, wasting your time in
disregard of this most important matter, for you are being
driven at a fierce pace (towards death) day and night, hour by
hour, like the blink of an eye" Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal
Al-Hasan Al-Basree said: "The world is a vehicle for you. If
you drive it, it will deliver you to your destination. If it drives
you, you will be destroyed"
The believer mixes with others in order to learn, keeps quiet to keep safe (from sinning), speaks in order to understand, and secludes himself for the attainment (of good).
The believer does the best deeds yet is most fearful [that his deeds will not be accepted]. If he were to spend a mountain of wealth [in charity], he would not feel sure [of the reward] until he sees it. The more righteous and pious he becomes, the more he fears. But the hypocrite says, 'There are so many people, I will be forgiven, no problem.' So he does wrong and evil deeds, yet holds foolish wishes about Allah.
Being offended when we are corrected, seriously reduces
our chances of improving or achieving heights in any
field. We must always welcome those who correct us
and show us where we are going wrong. In most cases,
those who regularly correct our ways and habits or
errors in any filed are those who truly care
"If you want to do something good, then do not put it off until tomorrow; if you are doing something pertaining to the Hereafter, then continue as long as you can; if you are praying and the Shaytaan tells you that you are showing off (by making it long), then make it longer."
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
